Probably misinformation to keep Russia on edge and uncertain. Ukraine would probably like to be rid of the annoyance of having it so close and would love the huge stockpile of ammo there....but you never know now that Ukraine has shown the world how weak Russia is.

Exactly this, same reason Lukashenko moved tanks to Ukraine border, its bluff designed to tie down defensive troops and equipment forced to defend, just in case
