The thought of civil war in Russia is frightening - yes it plays into the hands of Ukraine ( which is welcome) but who will control their nuclear armaments?

I’m not sure this is good news…

Not with Putin in charge, Hitler shot his mistress and then himself, had he had the capability’s of sending nuclear weapons he would have….

Putin, has…..

What is it you all want to happen? Russia invaded Ukraine, and Ukraine have fought back and are trying to kick Russia out. There are two possible outcomes:
1) Russia wins
2) Russia loses

Do you want them to win? If not, then they lose, and that obviously carries the risks you're discussing.

If Putin is ready to shoot himself, will the required people be firing nukes for him?

Triggaaar, we all naturally want Russia to lose.

come on Trig, I know it’s late, but you can order the strikes, wait for them to be in the air, and…….

some slightly contradicting info. first, signs of large traffic congestion on google maps north Rostov, a Russian city east of Donesk region, suggested this is Prigozhin's army. second, observation made there's no pictures out there of this large army (potentially tens of thousands), or Prigozhin's forces anywhere. just some pics of APC on streets.

expect most Wagner is engaged in Ukraine, unable to suddenly appear in Russia in large numbers... unless this has been in planning for a few days? and if you were planning you might have had time to move some units far further north while moving local forces into a strategic town.

Wagner has recruitment offices and small groups of soldiers littered throughout most Russian cities. Not enough to take on an army but enough to start making the FSB get twitchy.

Could be a huge elaborate ruse planned and agreed between Putin & Prygozhyn/Wagner to give Putin an escape without accountability for the invasion. Pryg is on his way to Moscow to save Putin from further deception at the hand of his generals who will take the wrap leaving Putin blameless.

Not enough to take on an army, perhaps, but 90% of active Russian forces are in Ukraine, not Russia. And man for man, the Wagner troops are more effective than the regular army. Wagner's weakness is in the air. Has Putin left the door wide open?

If Wagner really are moving towards Moscow, Putin may have little choice but to withdraw a sizable chunk of his forces in Ukraine to confront Wagner. If that happens, Ukraine will take back big chunks in a hurry. Unless, of course, Putin goes nuclear.

Wagner are mercenaries right? Are we sure they haven’t just been bought by the CIA? ???

I don't think Prigozhin would sell his life for CIA dollars. He's probably signed his own death warrant unless he unseats Putin. Even then, he'd be looking over his shoulder the rest of his life.

My mind is blown by these most recent updates. Do we have enough information yet to know if this is genuine, or could it be a carefully choreographed media operation, to try and wrong foot Ukraine’s troops into making an unwise attack?
