But how close exactly do you think they were to getting a man on the moon - and if they were close, why did they not continue?Well if you're going to split hairs....
I should have said "before America"

Are you broken?
Russian general 'sacked after only 16 days in the job'
Ukraine's military intelligence unit is claiming the general in charge of Russia's Western Group of the armed forces has been sacked, after only 16 days into the job.
Sounds like Chelsea or Watford's policy on the guy in charge.
While I agree with your general point, it's fair to say I'm not feeling much sympathy for ordinary Russians, given what's happened to ordinary Ukrainians.
So you feel sorry for the Russian soldiers who are committing war crimes, on the basis that they too live under his regime? I assume not, but perhaps you do feel sorry for the Russians who aren't committing crimes, but are supportive of his war?
I think there’s room to feel sympathy for both. I feel sorry for anyone living under Putin’s regime.

There are all sorts of people across the world who are badly let down by their leaders (yes, even worse than we've been let down). Many deserve our sympathy. Russians have to be pretty low down that list.

Putin has a point though, Neo Nazism is very strong in Ukraine

I know many things and I know Ukraine has a neo nazi problem. Actually they don't, they regard the nazis as an asset not a problemYou know nothing.
You do know that Russia defines a nazi as anyone who is anti-Russian ?Putin has a point though, Neo Nazism is very strong in Ukraine
You do know that Russia defines a nazi as anyone who is anti-Russian ?
The rest of the world has a different definition. There are many more "classical nazis" in Russia than Ukraine anyway.
I know nothing about zionism or the arguments about that.Acknowledging the Ukraine has a strong fascist element is not to support Russia or their expansionist policies.
Yours is the same argument used to describe people opposed to zionist expansion as anti- semite.

But I do know that Russia equates nazis as anyone who is against Russia. I probably qualify on that score.
You know nothing.
So actually you are the one that knows nothing as pointed out above. Lol.What total crap.
So actually you are the one that knows nothing as pointed out elsewhere. Lol.
I haven't called all Russians Nazis, or the equivalent, I've just said I don't have much sympathy for them - that's quite different. As an aside, on Germany, I do blame the German citizens for a lot of what happened - they turned against Jewish people and were happy to go along with the direction their country took.Did you think all Germans were Nazi’s because they didn’t protest against them?
Yes I agree, but when someone's child, who is an eye-witness, calls them and tells them that what Russia are doing, and they point blank refuse to believe it, I find it difficult to be sympathetic towards them. Are they suffering as the Ukrainians are? No they are not. Is it close? No it's not.Living under a murdering dictator must be bloody horrendous
