Yes, a total insult to all Ukrainians that have lost their lives, as well as those fighting and living there still.
I don't think he'll get any security guarantee from Trump, Trump said as much.
Just accept it's the presence of US companies and contractors that may deter Putin from further attacks deeper into Ukraine ( this is Trump's implication IIUC, it's not a guarantee).
I'm pretty sure Zelenskiy won't get any guarantees from Europe either.
He has to make the choice IMO: sign the minerals memorandum and see how it works out, or don't sign it and risk Trump stopping sanctions on Russia.
Feel free to modify or correct this idea - it's hard to think clearly at the mo

Zelenskiy could have worn a suit, thus eliminating that possible issue. But also,Trump could have shown empathy (

Yes I saw that. He left the door ajar for Zelensky to come back, but cut the aid to Ukraine to twist his arm.I may be clutching at a straw, or quite possibly a nettle, but Trump did say something like... 'when he wants peace he can come back.'
No...I don't suddenly trust him either. Maybe it means he still wants the mineral deal
