Christ, I’d hope the inclusion of the laughing emoji would imply that I’m not actually taking myself that seriously.

I also don’t feel the need to nest every comment inside <opinion> tags.

Then maybe you don't get my humour either 😉

If that’s a verbatim quote from Donny..that’s real big of him allowing Ukraine to fight on. No doubt if a deal is struck then it will be down to him and him alone and of course will be the greatest deal in the history of humankind because literally everyone has told him so and now they’re erecting statues of him in Kyiv.
Will it be gold like the one in Trump Gaza?

I'm a nobody.
It's my opinion - he called Zelensky a dictator, in my opinion that's ridiculous (Putin is 1000 times more a dictator that Zelenskiy), therefore I think he used those words lightly.
Or maybe my use of English grammar is imperfect, which is possible.
You are 100% right in my opinion!

To call Zelenskyy a dictator and to say he's not legitimate electorally, while saying nothing about genuine dictator Putin who has been rigging elections for decades is the most hypocritical type of oxymoron.

Thanks for that. I understand the minerals deal a little better now, in that there's a 'bad' minerals deal and a 'good' minerals deal.

From about 27:00 for a minute or two.
Agreed..... I think I get minerals deal a bit more, bit still vague snd not yet conclusive if it is exploitation or grand strategy?

Perhaps we have misjudged Trump all along and this was the game plan. Side with Russia in a big way to frighten Ukraine into doing a deal to for the minerals. Put Putin on the back foot and then up the anti to kick Russia out. I suspect this isn't the case but if he comes out with minerals and a Nobel prize then he will be a happy man

I feel like I'm at the theatre waiting for the curtain to go up for Act 2.
It is also possible that Trump has no friggin idea what he's going to say or do tomorrow!

Yep.
Like the falsehood that kept him unfaithfully honest
Or something like that. Maybe👍🏻

But a lot depends on the steepness of the hill. I believe that in Trump's case it's never been far off a plateau
I’m confused…if Trump has always been cognitively impaired, is there a plateau or is it more like a featureless plain?

Or was this what the Meat Puppets meant by “there was nothing on the top but a bucket and a mop”?

Ukraine will not sign minerals deal without security guarantees - Ukraine PM

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said that a "factually final version" of the minerals deal was agreed during two weeks of intense negotiations with the US.

Speaking to Ukrainian TV, Shmyhal says the preliminary agreement envisages that an "investment fund" will be set up for Ukraine's reconstruction.

Kyiv and Washington will be managing the fund on "equal terms", the prime minister adds, stressing that the US supports Ukraine's efforts to obtain security guarantees.

"Neither Ukraine's President [Volodymyr Zelensky] nor the Ukrainian government will be considering and signing the deal without security guarantees for Ukraine," Shmyhal says.

Trump is a dyed-in-the-wool Russophile. He’s been doing business with them since the 1980s, much of it with shady links to organised crime and dirty money.

He’s not siding with Russia as part of a strategic play, he’s been siding with them for decades.

I do agree with you on the last part though. An article I read on Medium about his timeline with Russia mentions how keen he was to build Trump Tower Moscow.

It used the word prestige.

That’s why he wants a Nobel prize (it surely also irks him that Obama has one).

Ha! I suspected yesterday’s FT report wasn’t the full story because it took so long for other outlets to report it.

A hearty well-played to Ukraine if this is accurate. Trump is gonna be pissed. Europe should be offering them a better deal, surely it is already working on this.

You can see why he would be a Russophile as well.

A world of corruption where bribes, back handers, fraud, threats and extortion are the main currencies.

I forgot the “illustrated book about birds”, to my shame.
