‘Leaks’ no doubt come when the players aren’t that bothered that their thoughts are becoming public. It’s not a good look for the club though.
You just had to look at Dunky’s face during that post match interview and his carefully worded ‘thoughts’ about the performance and his dismissive body language towards Fabian to get an insight into what he thinks.
It wasn’t Dunky’s best game and I don’t think FH’s helter skelter style suits him at his age.
It does look like things are unravelling pretty quickly.
Disappointed from a fan perspective that there has been almost a media silence since Saturday from the club, JPvH, Dunk and Hinsh being the only ones fronting up (and whatever the f*ck Ayari was doing :lolol: ).

I get that gut feel too. The videos are actually quite insightful.
The one that made me cringe the most was the dressing room one after the Old Trafford win.
‘Guys, what I want now is consistency, guys and togetherness’. What does this actually mean to a footballer. You can’t force togetherness, you create it. You don’t throw players under the bus like FH has done. RDZ used to say repeatedly that he loved his players. FH has the emotional intelligence of a robot.
We’d just won at O/T. Where’s the celebration, where’s the love and appreciation. I know players are paid a lot of money but they are just young blokes who need to be led, by a leader that has tactical nous, organisational ability and the emotional intelligence to know when to give them a bit of love when it’s required, and a closed door bollocking when needed ( eg RDZ after the Everton 1/5 game)
Maybe I’ve got this all wrong. We’ll see in the next few games. I expect a response on Saturday whatever as the players pride will have been severely dented.
Absolutely this and the post you responded to. That crap after beating Man Utd (everyone beats Man Utd) ‘Guys, what I want now is consistency, guys and togetherness’ was Ted Lasso/David Brent bollocks. Pointless uninspiring platitudes. In the nicest possible way the players aren't having him. He's talked too much bollocks in his short time here and fairly or unfairly the players aren't showing the fear/respect you need. The fact that Enciso, Good Night and now Ferguson aren't playing with us is not a good sign. New signings have really really struggled and our recruitment is also at fault for this. Fab seems very petulant - little snide bookings and actually seems to physically shrink into his winter coat. Not a good look. I like his ambitious side 'challenge the establishment' but we have looked very short this season and are nowhere near the 10th best team in the league based on our performances.

What is strange is how we were told he was such a footballing revolutionary at St Pauli, with endless videos discussing quick transitions bypassing midfield and a deep lying midfielder dropping in to a back 3.

Where is that supposed tactical ingenuity? He tried a very high line for a few weeks, but otherwise we play the same 4-2-3-1 as before, just less organised (apart from against Forest of course).
I’m going to guess that it’s because of the players available to him being more suited to a “number 10 and wingers superstore” and less to a “group of players trying to get promoted as a team”.

(and whatever the f*ck Ayari was doing :lolol: ).
Contemplating throwing himself off Beachy Head?! I like to think he was staring out to sea reflecting on his poor life decisions, such as joining Brighton & Hove Albion and challenging Carlos Baleba to a fight (which never happened, of course).

His pre match interview wasn't much better

I suspect that the players just don't like being called 'guys' all the time? Stop doing that and everything will be hunky-dory! :lolol:
I had a Colombian boss who kept calling everyone guys. He also kept referring to own goals. I once said to him 'and I know how you Colombians are scared of own goals' and he didn't see the funny side of it

I think you’ve nailed it with ‘lack of respect’. You earn respect not demand it.
I know some people on here are stating a lot of ‘bedwetting’ ( I don’t like that phrase btw) but actually there are a number of very sensible posters on NSC who usually have very balanced views that are stating what is seemingly becoming obvious re FH. He’s out of his depth tactically and is losing the respect of the players, or lost it already.

Get the impression that this was a step too far for FH ahead in the trajectory, a bit like Potter going to Chelsea. He just doesn't have the gravitas to get the confidence of the players.

His pre and post match team talks also seems the type of cringe and clichéd that would make your eyes roll into the back of your head.

I’ve been thinking very carefully about how to respond to Saturday and this is my take… if Fabian has lost the dressing room, he’s finished… it’s a question of time. No coach/manager can survive a player revolt, nothing new - he’s done for.

If however, this is all bollocks then he could turn it round… but, and here’s the thing… I’m not sure I want the latter…

I’ve tried, you know… to warm to him… he’s a bit of a strange one… I felt really uncomfortable watching the pre-season ‘PowerPoint’ cliche ridden god awful almost self parody of a junior manager gone rogue… it was cringe town, and if I’d been a player I’d have been glad to get loaned out… delighted to have spent the year playing for Port Vale, where trust and process and team matey happy clappy, let’s hold hands and sing Kumbaya would have been an unlikely eventuality… the players looked incredulous then, after months of this SHIT they look lost, bereft of wanting to make this 🤮 inducing BS a success…

So in summary, I think we’ve made a colossal mistake BUT thankfully one we might just be able to back out of after a 14th ish finish…

In the meantime, won’t someone at the club take Fabian to one side and gently tell him…

“JUST STOP SAYING GUYS AND PROCESS… PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF f*** STOP.”

Almost Spinal Tap like. Perhaps we can turn it up to 11 on Saturday night😂

Time will tell but this has a whiff of history repeating for me, and for the reasons in the post you replied to.

Poyet, a fiery Latin type who revolutionised football in the lower leagues with us, eventually let his own ambitions come above those of the club and questioned the "ceiling". But from the 'we're f***ing brilliant" season to taking a League One squad to 10th in the Championship in season one to occasional thrashings of other teams (Blackpool for example) it was an incredible ride. He was one of the most charismatic coaches in the league and he was grounded by having Brighton legend Oatway with him. He made recruitment mistakes (CMS), gambled on big names (Bridge, Vicente) and generally put us on the map. Then he tried to f*** Tony over and found out.

For the above swap in Dahoud for CMS, Fati for Vicente, Crofts for Oatway, our Euro qualification for the f***ing brilliant season and our Europa League group qualification for the first Championship season (I don't care how weak you think the opposition were, you still have to beat them on Thursday, travel home and play PL football on Sunday). And it all unravelled with a strop when RDZ tried to f*** around with our recruitment and found out.

We replaced Poyet with the introverted Oscar and then him with a gamble from Germany with baffling tactics who could be trusted to say nothing about a couple of recruitment windows that left us considerably weaker.

From where I'm standing that's so similar as to be almost circular. But we probably won't be getting in Dyche or Moyes next, to be fair.
I spat my tea out when you equated Fati and Vicente

Well I was at the game watching intently, who was helping Hinsh in midfield then? Pedro, Rutter if they were meant to, they weren’t doing much.
I agree that they weren't doing much, but in all of the Forest attacks, there were lots of Brighton players in the defensive part of the field. The problem wasn't that they were not there, but that they played crap.
