Looney's post implies DEFRA...and a proposed yes from JP to Falmer.
Or he may be off the mark.
Hard though it is all we can do is wait.
It'll be DEFRA (who run National Parks and spend far too much time talking with agencies like the Sussex Downs Conversation Board). They're also the Department that will have to decide on the boundaries of the new South Downs National Park.
IF looney's 'spy' has got the story right, of course.
