personally,

i don't have a problem with postal strikes per se. i think the postal service in this country is generally brilliant and posties do a v good job. what i don't like is what i hear from two friends who recently used to work in the sorting offices and that is that there is really severe bullying (among colleagues), most of which is orchestrated by the Union.

Which is why I added the parentheses in my post about coercion. Not all union action is good but union action in the correct way does protect workers.

It is every worker's right to withdraw their labour for industrial action as long as the majority of workers support the action (with a secret ballot so there is no coercion)

Unfortunately Yorkie, as you know some people don't agree with that if it causes them any inconvenience. :eek:

I don't know about the other parts of the buisness.

Yeah lovely thanks bud....sunny Teneriffe. I see the strikes continue then......very very sad situation.
