Stayed there once for one night. That was enough.
It was apparently used by the hour until today!!
The hotel has been very unlucky with fires over the last few years., which is a shame as TripAdvisor gives it's such good reviews. Hopefully it wasn't due to a careless seagull picking up a lit cigarette and then dropping it on the building. I think that's what happened to the West Pier. :(

I've come back home.
Roof gone, fire spread through most floors now and crews tackling it from all four sides.

I thought I'd left cooker on and couldn't understand the smell of smoke. Then I looked out the window and saw smoke drifting up from Queen's Park. It was eery. Explains it all now.

I predict.

Rubber boat to English coast. Taxi to Brighton. Free B & B in newly purposely renovated big former hotel.
I hear there are other football forums you can frequent. May I suggest Leeds, Burnley, Millwall or Chelsea forums.

West is BEST
We were drafted in to man the cordon for a few hours tonight. It was still burning when we left it a while ago.
Smoke was horrendous. Wa surreal standing at the Old Steine as the sun went down and everything was shrouded in smoke, blue lights and the light from the fire.
Was like a film.
