Well said.
I'd die a happy man if this plastic and artificial rivalry with a LONDON club, died a death and they resumed their natural rivalry with Millwall.

Would you still be saying that if the tables were turned?

Christ, we ban a Palace fan for just saying a couple of home truths after our own fans bought them up in the first place.

What a sensitive bunch we are. Again, embarrassing.

Yep - silly I know, and a waste of money, but so upset about the events of the past few weeks and particularly tonight.
Ya I know it is incredible how we have fallen in such a Short time. Tonight was awful, we have just lost it. Very worrying. I have my ticket and thinking of experiencing the same at Blackburn! I just keep thinking it will turn and we will click again. Keep the faith.[emoji2]

You mean like selecting which boots to wear to maximise slipping and falling over all the frigging time?

Our set pieces are fecking terrible and they need to work on them. How many goal scoring opportunities have they squandered this season?
At the moment we can't defend, we can't pass, we can't score, we can't buy a win. The hours spent to create the odd goal from a set piece seems wasted compared to correcting some of our other failings

All this hand wringing about our failure to score goals but we have only kept one clean sheet in the last 12 games. The whole basis of football is being sound at the back and three more draws in this poor run would still have seen us in a strong position, two points off 2nd.
I know we are firing blanks up front but a strong defence gives the whole team confidence. All season our back four have been making errors. Its just that the unbeaten run covered a lot of cracks. We lost the best left back in the division and the Greer/Hunny partnership never had a chance to flourish. We have gifted opposing teams so many goals, no wonder the team has lost confidence. Forward players thrive on confidence and this has drained away.

He was a troll who came on to gloat and rub our noses in it, good riddance to the palace scum hopefully the others will get the same treatment.

Interesting. I think Hughton needs to start with his strongest line-up vs Blackburn on the weekend. That means starting Bobby, Baldock and KLL instead of Wilson, Hemed and Murphy, then see where we are at half-time. If this side goes a goal behind we're f*cked, I'd rather be 1-0 up after 45 minutes with a couple of tiring players than shotless and 1-0 down with players that are firing blanks.

Will go with that.

I agree with you. Murphy is a case in point, and without him having a decent left-back behind him he hasn't been firing on all cylinders, so the service to Hemed and Wilson is halved. Hopefully KLL will not be tainted by the malaise and can come in and start from where he left off. We can but hope.

Yes, but equally if the offensive side of your game is working, the opposition defend deeper and do not expose your defence to the situations that cause mistakes. We are shite all over the pitch at the moment, that is the problem.

He wasn't trolling, he only responded to a specific post about Palace, and wasn't particularly gloating at all given the result. Sensitive meters set to 11.

I still firmly believe if we hadn't had those injuries we'd have continued our good form. Our entire left hand side, bar Murphy, has been sidelined at one time or another this season.

Having said that injuries cannot be blamed entirely; they are, after all, why you have a squad of players. For me CH needs to look at that squad and make some decisions around two players in particular:

Lewis Dunk - A good player with potential but his propensity for making game changing mistakes can no longer be ignored or tolerated.
Tomer Hemed - Clearly a confidence player and he lost his at Wolves. If a professional striker cannot find some sort of goal scoring form months after missing a penalty (ignoring the flukey Charlton goal) then I'd say he's not cut out for this level which is a real shame because his early season performances had me thinking we'd landed Ulloa V2.0. And because of Fulham. I will never forget that day.

Again, it isn't just those two and the inuries to blame.

Something has left our team and we need to work out what that is and get it back sharpish if we're to have any hope of finishing this season with a bang rather than a whimper.

And a final note: look where we were this time last year. This is nothing compared to that.
