You think we can make 6th? Yes please I'll still take it but it's looking a little unlikely

Honestly? I don't know. I have had to defend some negative comments during our undefeated streak. I haven't enjoyed the football for most of the season, I've been seeing a team that hasn't dominated games enough, a team that was struggling to score when they did dominate, and a team that was fragile at the back, but also a team that were facing opposition on the right day. I've mentioned before how I've often walked away from games thinking 'if our opponents were on form, we'd have lost that', I've also mentioned how worryingly frequent someone has uttered "winning when you're playing badly..." (even before all the injuries piled up). But of course, we were top, we were undefeated. So I was just a negative "fan" who was only happy if I moaned.

Maybe I was. Maybe we were much better than I gave us credit for, and if that is the case, I don't see why we can't regain form. It is a cliche, but every team does have a bad patch or two over a season. We were always going to have one, and maybe we will regain form and climb back up the table.

Or maybe I was seeing the real albion, and now our opponents are picking up a bit, or getting the rub of the green, and we're going to see the true Albion fall to their actual deserved spot in the league.

The post of mine you quote was me being a little mischievous/facetious. It bugs me a little when people try to shut down genuine complaints about a specific match, or a poor run, with claims that we'd have been happy with the position we are in at the start of the season (ignoring that it means nothing, it's where we finish).

Substitution, Brighton and Hove Albion. Andrew Crofts replaces Gordon Greer because of an injury.

2-0 down, inspirational substitution....Hughton reverting to type...Team reverting to last season.

Zamora played the first 65 minutes against Wolves and was awful though, so I understand the reasons for Hemed starting. Sadly, Hemed has looked awful for weeks now too. Baldock doesn't score goals, and Wilson seems to slowly becoming worse and worse the more time he spends with us.

Not good.

What, so Bobby get one start, is woeful and he's out but Hemed get 20 starts and continues to be woeful - is that how it works?

That ignores the fact that for a big chunk of the season we've had Bong, KLL, Rosenior, March and Hunemeier in the side looking rock solid in this division.

The table doesn't lie, but it is time to show some character, grind out a win and steady the ship.

We have money to spend and players to return, there are still 20 games and 60 points still to play for, and we've shown we can go 20 games unbeaten already this season.

Totally agree there matey about the players like Bong and that being out, but as someone else has mentioned on here I think something is going wrong between CH and the players, they look very much now like they did when Hyypia was here, lath argue, listless, lazy and uninterested.
I'm team CH out now I'm afraid, it's getting worse and worse each week. Just my opinion.

Er, he could have put on Goldson but chose to bring on a midfielder. That's not ultra-defensive in my book.

F*ck them up the road, they've just lost to a woeful Villa side and their European ambitions have taken a dent. Nobody's crowing about it but on the other hand it's not a bad thing, is it?

Lets not play stupid, were 7th in the PL and uv just lost to the Mighty Rotherham, youve got nothing to shout about.

We haven't put a game to bed all season and we have always had to hang on in every game we won or drew. We were a very lucky team for 22 games. I said it at the time but as you say you can look a bit stupid when your team are top of the table. Our lack of goals has been our undoing. Injuries played a part but we haven't been prolific in front of goal in the five years we have been at the Amex and we have continued this rather depressing trait this season. I have no idea who is in charge of set pieces but I genuinely think whoever it is should be given the boot. Our set pieces are non league standard and totally unacceptable for a team aiming for the top flight.

7 mins left, 1 nil down with Baldock on the bench...could have gone 3 at the back, maybe not ultra defensive, but hardly throwing the kitchen sink at them.

But a midfielder who 2 years ago may have scored but not now should have gone s..t or bust with Baldock.

Totally agree. 7 mins to go, Ridgewell has played centre half, just go 3 at the back and throw Baldock at them....nothing to lose at that point. Instead we concede another goal, don't score and Baldock gets zero minutes under his belt...don't get it.

Just shredded my Blackburn tickets. If the players can't be arsed to make an effort, I can't be asked to travel all that way to watch them. Absolute shite.

Still we have a nice new shiny stadium, and these little clubs raise their game for a big championship club like us

The premiership is over rated

Villa, Leeds,Forest to play next season. Better than being stuffed each game in the premier league.
