Of all the Metarsal injuries of recent years, how many have only taken 6 weeks to heal? Or actually taken the diagnosed recovery time? If memory serves me correctly think most of them tend to last longer

Damn his new boots, wasn't it Phil Mickelson who changed the make of his clubs a couple of weeks before the last Ryder Cup? If it's this close to a major tournament why mess about with things like that? Talk about advertisers worst nightmare

He could make the Paraguay game if he has a speedy recovery, *clutching at straws* I know.

If he is OK he will not be match fit therefore only a sub. We should beat Paraguay without him anyway.

The important one is the Sweden game in the group stages.

Without Rooney for the Sweden game, we're up shit-creek.

I think top two go through so if we win the first two it may require a strategic loss.

In 2004 Beckham only took 5 weeks to recover. There is still hope.

Wasn't Beckham 2002? Either way, how influential has he been at the last 2 tournaments? Slated by everyone, then addmissons from the England camp that he was injured, and maybe shouldn't of been playing

He played well against Argentina, but seem to remember him being very poor after that, although could be very wrong. I like to look on the worst side, then all you ever get are nice surprises :drink:

Just seen the tackle on MOTD - Ferreira is a stupid :censored: , going through Rooneys shin to get the balls -yes, he did win the ball, but he's still effectively RUINED our chances in the World Cup.

I think the chances of him getting on the plane are non existent, lets be honest.

Sven still wants to take owen and hes hardly even kicked a ball in 2006!

Bet both Rooney and Owen are in the squad whether injured or not.
