Other than that he hasn't done anything of real note in the 40 odd games I've seen him play.

My only reservation with him is that he does a lot of step-over fancy foot work and nothing comes from it. An example was against Arsenal he stepped over the ball this way that way and every way possible but the Arsenal defender (?) just watched the ball and not his feet and kept him hemmed near the corner post and got a goalkick out of it. Ben was mesmerised by his footwork and remarked on his skill until I pointed out that with all the fancy footwork he didnt gain anything or keep the ball, but none the less it looked impressive.

I think this proves the point I was making in another thread. I think Ronaldo, 'Kaka and Lionel Messi are all very close in terms of quality, with Ronaldo probably the best. The next level IMO are the Eto'os and Torres's of this world

It's false, i read this in the paper the other day - he had only got three assists until a game a few weeks ago, i think it was against Villa, and he got another 3 assists there.

He scored a lot less last season, but got twice the amount of assists.
