Yes, but as someone pointed out yesterday when i was having this argument, not sure how you can compare him to the best keeper/defender in the world (whoever that may be)

I thought I wouldn't put that on cos if you don't care you wouldn't have opened the fecking thread unless you're a bit stoopid

But I wanted to REGISTER the fact that I don't care.
I was therefore forced into typing a response on the thread, instead of just clicking on a poll option. This took more time. And now I'm using up more time arguing the toss about it. Do you see now the DAMAGE you have caused ?

I agree that defensive players usually get short shrift in these kind of polls (except Maldini who in my opinion is massively overrated) but I still think if there was a way to make an equal comparison he would still come out top.

When United signed Anderson and Nani they then went on a pre-season tour of the Far East to meet the fan base.

There is a pecking order at United about which players fly first class and which fly business class, normally determined by whether you are a first team regular or not, and the number of first class seats available.

Fergie asked Ronaldo to SLUM it in business class with the two new lads, as they all spoke Portuguese, and he could give them some insight to what was expected of them etc on the tour.

Ronny REFUSED on the grounds that he was too much of a star to fly business class.

Fantastic footballer, Yes.

Grade A arrogant twat, Yes

I think this proves the point I was making in another thread. I think Ronaldo, 'Kaka and Lionel Messi are all very close in terms of quality, with Ronaldo probably the best. The next level IMO are the Eto'os and Torres's of this world

I agree with Les on this one, he is one of the few players around at the moment that could probably justify the admission fee alone just to say you have seen him play, the last time I did that was for Thierry Henry. All things are relative, if you take it that the Premiership is considered the toughest league in the World, he is arguably the best player in it at present...that technically makes him the best in the World.

Also, scoring almost 40 goals in the toughest league in the World must count for something.

I wish I would have put a "dont care" on option now cos it would have taken 2 seconds and now we've both wasted 2 mins of our lives we're not gonna get back

what did you click? I guess "other" is the closest to dont care

if you take it that the Premiership is considered the toughest league in the World,

Is that true though? There are only 3 sides that can win it, and one of those (Arsenal) have a much smaller squad and resources than the other two.

United spent £70million on players in the last 12 months, at a time when Chelsea are cutting back on player purchases after Abramovic lost interest to a degree, (look at their signings this season, they've signed two players from........Bolton, and one from Reading).

The Premiership is no more 'tough' than the SPL in terms of being a challenge.
