Couldn’t get into the hotel across the road then?

The view from that place is of an old, run down hotel. I lie. Athens & Rome with wife means no Caribbean holiday this year, but I wouldn't change a thing. West Ham please next round.

Indeed, I had to pass before the draw was made regarding time off etc. it’s a big “if” I know but I had to save a bit in the tank in case we progress.
If we’d got that Qarabag, I’d certainly be crying in my Horlicks now.

I passed up the chance to go for exactly the same reason - not enough leave left. Then I get made redundant last week so could have gone !

Our friends son was due to fly out today, but has lost his passport and spent the whole day yesterday trying to find it. DOH!
Looks like he'll be watching in front of the TV instead....

I’ve learnt a hard lesson not going. I could easily have got a ticket being tier 2, but stupidly stuck to my direct flights at a time I wanted only, and also refused to pay over £800

I’m currently getting messages from mates at the airport and am INSANELY JEALOUS. I could easily have gone, and only have myself to blame.

Note to self. Remember this feeling and if we get through, move heaven and earth to go to next one.
