I don't get your point. Just because he isn't in the DS squad, surely its better to have a player, playing games, rather than having made 0 appearances on the bench so far, and being 5th or 6th choice striker currently ?

Apart from the issue on whether he has been injured or not Gus appears to make a clear distinction between the development squad and the first team squad except on occasions a member of the Dev squad has been used as a sub for a first team game. I stand to be corrected but I cannot recall any first team squad member being used to play for the Dev squad -even if returning from injury. However I do accept that Bergkamp appears to be in some sort of football "no mans land" where he is not actively considered for first team duty despite being in the squad photo etc.

You don't have to slag off Hinshelwood, I couldn't realy pass comment either way tbh (except as a manager ) but the club is moving on and it's not hard to believe that Gus doesn't see him as part of it, whatever the past. Rebuilding isn't always pretty.

He really didn't come on. No-one did. I remember remarking at the time when it was 0-0 with half hour left, how surprised I was Poyet hadn't made any subs. After the game my brother said he obviously had faith in the 11 he picked. He DEFINITELY didn't come on!

interesting that, surely we would of heard something of his injury, for example on the team news before each game or something. Has anyone actually seen him training or at the AMEX watching games? My prediction is Gus has shipped him off to holland to train with someone there and get rid in January. Hope not though, you have to feel for the guy with the situation he's in atm.
