RDZ 's career to date.......13 different clubs in 15 years playing and 7 different clubs in 9 years coaching, suggests that he is not the man for the long haul ( or even the medium term ). We have already had nearly two seasons out of him and TB would have done his homework. The club would have known that this man gets second season syndrome ( itchy feet ) and prepared for what is happening now.
He is already putting his markers down and I would be mightily surprised if we got a third season out of him, particularly if we miss a European place.
Considering he was out of work TB put him on the centre stage and then he slates him in pressers is not the work of a good man IMO regardless if stays or not. I feel for Tony he employees people gives them all the tools to excel and then gets shat on. That Jewel character what an ungrateful wanker, and what are you doing now Bruno? Twat.

From BBC just now:

Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi on speculation surrounding his future: "At this moment you are asking me a lot of times if I am leaving but I am still proud to be coach at Brighton.

"I know I am really lucky to work with these players, to work with this club. I'd like to compete with a full squad but I try to play with the players available and I think they are enough."
Super stuff. Hopefully everyone can get a grip now.

BBC: Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi was asked about the future of striker Danny Welbeck, who scored a fine goal in Sunday's 2-1 defeat at Liverpool: "Danny is enjoying his best period under my time. He is important for the young players, the dressing room.

"Great player, great guy. We have to keep him with us for a lot of years.

"We want to keep him".

To god damn right we do, that is the spirt "we want to keep him"

Back on track

More from Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi on his future: "It's not a problem, it's a part of my work. At the moment I want to be focused and to keep my eyes on the target we have. I have the contract at the moment. The focus is on the pitch.

"I'm very relaxed and without problems. The problems are the injured players and the preparations for the next game. These are the problems not the contract or my future."

Been reported he's unlikely to be considered for the Liverpool job but at same time he's favourite for the Bayern job!
11/8 fav for Bayern, that is crazy really for the giants of Germany, I cannot see them taking a risk on RDZ, if he does not hit the ground running there, he won't see out the season, they will quickly turn on him.

I don't understand. Garth Crooks said he was the man for the job at Liverpool, so he MUST be top of their list. They'd be fools to ignore Garth's well-informed opinions.

Liverpool aren't daft. For all his obvious ability the thought of having a mardy new head coach taking over the reigns at Anfield was probably an easy decision to make.

Klopp can be hard work. Some would say he's earnt the right over the years to throw the occasional toy out of the pram, with multiple trophies won.

He's never going to Liverpool. Not a chance.

I don't even think it's that. I just think Liverpool's ambition is to be the best club in the world, and right now RDZ would be a huge gamble at that level. Liverpool are losing their best manager since Paisley (arguably in terms of revival and identity, Shankly), and are in the rare position of parting ways with him when they're still at the very top. It's a huge pair of shoes to fill.

I just think that whilst RDZ is destined for that level, it's probably a job too soon. He's yet to win a Champions League match (proper) in his managerial career. There's another job before the very elite clubs.

Klopp is openly opinionated but he has never criticised FSG in public.

Hold so you are happy for a manager to flounce during a season when the team are in Europe the FA cup and battling on for a European place. I will give him a pass for the FA cup Roma away was a tactical shit show.
He hasn't flounced. Save your ire for when it happens not when you think he is contemplating it.

Granted, his lack of top level experience(plus trophies won) would rule someone such as De Zerbi out fairly quickly where the likes of Liverpool are concerned.

That said, the way that a head coach/manager conducts himself publicly through the media would be another factor that would be assessed in checking their possible suitability, all be it in the early stages of putting together a shortlist. No doubt Alexis Mac Allister would be consulted too.

Wouldn't be surprised if Roberto rocks up at Stamford Bridge over the coming months.

Yeah, who's the guy at Brighton that's won six of his last 22 league games?

I know I keep saying this but has he actually behaved that poorly in comparison to the rest of the Premier League? I reckon with today's press conference he's reached 5 times that he's told the press he has a contract at Brighton and he keeps reminding everyone that our squad is weaker than it was last season because of injuries and losing our central midfield - he's not wrong on either counts is he? It's hardly Poyet going on MOTD or Conte going on the rampage at the end of his Spurs reign and calling the whole club copouts.

I'd be HUGELY surprised if RDZ turns up at Chelsea in the coming few months. He's not even 4th favourite and there isn't even a job available. He's ambitious, we've become more ambitious under him, his agents will have been approached for every interesting role on the market and his next move will be hugely important, not a cash grab.

For me, there's three ways this summer plays out:

1) He doesn't get offered any of the HUGE jobs (Liverpool or Bayern) and stays with the backing of Bloom and Barber.
2) He gets the Bayern job. They offer him the time and all of the finances needed to create a superclub in his image
3) The merry-go-round does something weird and reveals an opportunity in Italy he can't turn down and he goes back home.

Whatever happens, just enjoy the rest of the season and keep your fingers crossed for option one. He's by far the best manager this club has ever had - ride that train until we get to the last stop. And who knows, when we reach the end of our ride with RDZ, there may be a bullet train waiting to take us to a wonderful new future.

Are you in a roundabout way saying Liverpool's no dickhead policy is stricter than our no dickhead policy there.
Wouldn't be surprised if Roberto rocks up at Stamford Bridge over the coming months.
Don't, just don't.

Yes, his perceived pre-legendary status outweigh his current achievements. With the likes of Pep and Klopp in his fan club he's going to be linked to vacancy after vacancy across Europe.

Very well put Beanstalk. Bill Hicks-esque at the end there. Let's see how it plays out. I hope that this season doesn't just fizzle out.

Well Liverpool have made a statement he’s definitely not going there. I wonder why they made the statement a word from TB to shut his manager up?
