Indulge me if you can be arsed, I don’t recall a single positive post by GB about Potter, just criticism, where can I find one? I will, of course, doff my hat and apologise if I am wrong. I often am.
I have discussed Potter with GB on NSC and occasionally in real life. I, likewise, apologise if I'm wrong (and I, too, often am) but I don't recall detecting him having an anti-Potter agenda, if I can put it that way. Like all of us, including me, I am sure GB made negative comments about Potter from time to time. That's not the same as never having made a single positive post. Albeit I would not have notice an absence of positivity.

I contrast @Guinness Boy with the relentless posts of a couple of users (whose names escape me - they don't post often or at all these days) who really were after Potter. We would win well and they would be on NSC slagging Potter off after the final whistle. That was weird. And I noticed it. And argued with them.

I have posted a couple of times that Potter brings out the bully in a lot of men (and perhaps women too). The tooth sucking. The hateful (according to polls) midlands accent. The polytechnic-trained 'degree' in emotional intelligence (that's the snob in me on faux display, there, to embellish the narrative). And as soon as we went on a long run of poor results, this triggered the bully gene, and there we have it. I hold up my own hand in that regard on occasion.

But, no, I did not detect an anti Potter agenda from @Guinness Boy when Potter was manager. Now he's gone, it matters not what anyone thinks. I am 110% confident Potter will not do a Mullery/Adams, and reappear as our tight-lipped supremo.

I’m pretty sure I’m not the only fan who is starting to get a bit sick of it all being about him and not the team.
No, you're not the only one. I've had enough of him. The Luton defeat was the final straw for me.

This is how I felt towards the end of Poyet, and we know how that ended.

I might be alone, but I find the whole subject of managers and their contracts really weird. Or, more accurately, one of the MORE weird things about football. In very few – or maybe no – other industry would the general public be debating over whether someone should commit to longer at their current employer, question their loyalty or have a go at them for voicing their aspirations.

On the other side, I don't really get the fascination with 'man has one eye on a job promotion' is even a story in the first place, but that's the line a lot of reporters seem to want to go down (not just with RDZ, but with others, too). To be fair, it gets LOADS of coverage, because RDZ has, so far, been a SHOE-IN for jobs at Liverpool, Spuds, Chelsea, Munich, Leverkusen, Manchester United and probably one or two others!

Let's face it, he's going to fack off at some point sooner or later (like Potter did) and the club will continue after him (like post-Potter), so (like when Potter left) I couldn't really care – especially not when it's totally and utterly out of my control. He'll leave the club in a better place than when he left (like Potter) and good luck to him wherever he ends up.
Since when have football fans been rational? :)

@Guinness Boy, myself and many others just got bored to tears of incredibly long periods of non-winning, toothless football at the Amex. Albion records for the wrong reasons might’ve been broken. Then he had the cheek and he doubled down on it, of patronising the support, over boos from some out of a big crowd.

There was no bullying or football snobbery from @GB in the early period starting at Watford away, GP was admired, threads joked about his ‘touchline antics’.

Brighton factually.....
He is being discussed now on talkshite and most on the programme think he should respect Bloom and not have said what he has recently been saying in his interviews.

Managers and Players come and go.
But for us fans it's a lifetime with one club.
FACT
Exactly. Players and managers have jobs, several of them in their careers but fans (most fans) stick with their club for life.
It makes me laugh when fans berate a manager for a perceived move when they would change their own job without a moment's hesitation.

He wants out, but won't quit if nothing comes along - I think he realises that he's not going to get put in a better shop window than us if a bigger fish doesn't take a nibble.

That pretty much seals it for me.

We all know Romano works for the agents. So if that's coming out from FR, it will have come from the De Zerbi camp.
Put the fishing rod away junior. You're a bit late to this fishing trip.

The only chant RDZ would have heard on Sunday was 'Tony Bloom's blue and white army'.

Probably time someone posted a verbatim text of the offending interview.

I seem to recall seeing bit of it at the time and it looks innocuous to me.

Now (and Talkshite appears to be reiterating what that paragon of insight and probity, Chris Sutton, was saying yesterday) it seems that in that interview, RDZ disrespected the owner and issued a 'come and get me' plea.

I would like to see the full text.

At present I don't find things like this (below) particularly alarming. Laughable more like:

Until Roma away, the NSC Potter-is-better hill was pretty barren. Then the revisionists jumped hills overnight.
I am not convinced that there is a single fan who would suggest that GP is “better”, even now is there? He might be more pragmatic but other than that?

Doesn’t mean he was shit previously as RDZ swept all before him either

Who has said he was?

What I don't understand is those who want him to come back. He's gone, and when RDZ does go, I hope TBMBE has a new manager in mind.

Anybody who takes notice of what Talksport says deserves all they get.

This thread has descended into hilarity. People are making fierce condemnatory criticism of the standpoint of people whose standpoint has not, as far as I am aware, been disclosed. It's Baa Baa Black Sheep all over again.

So, again, may I request that the full transcript of the offending interview be posted on here? Yes, yes, I may.

With that important question answered, I'm going out.

Ta ra.

There are, I won’t mention their usernames here. They’ve referred to tactics, formation, game management. That RDZ lucked out from GP’s coaching, top 6 team and astute purchases as if GP was the key.

But they NEVER said a dicky-bird about any of that from Nov 22 to Sep 23, not a single word. Instead, like us all, they reflected in RDZ’s glory.

@GT49er being the solitary, consistent exception with criticism for RDZ.
