People fought for the Albion because they had, and have, an emotional attachment to the club.It does seem to me that a few seem to forget we fought a long fight ourselves not so long ago for what we thought was right. Obviously the Albion aren't a service as such so we didn't affect the general public that much although we did shut roads for protests and the extra police presence at matches and some of the late Goldstone matches had to be paid for. Plus of course whatever we say the residents of Withdean when we fought to get back there were inconvenienced. That fight mattered to us and we fought for ourselves as well as those down the line who will be able to visit the Amex. Just worth remembering before you instantly condem anyone trying to stand up for their rights or maintain safety etc.
Even Mick Cash has admitted last week that this issue is about "jobs and safety" (note the order in which he listed them), so its not really comparing like with like at all.
