The year they canned TOTP, it’s all down hill after that. At least we had a weekly reference point to learn who was top of the Hit Parade. (However awful it sounded)I’m 47 and knew who he was, but then again, my lovely Dad drilled 50s and 60s music into my ears from birth so I can understand why Vince Hill might not have been on the radar for many.
I couldn’t tell you much about popular music after 2005 though!
