Best radio presenter R2 ever employed, my commute to work was made infinitely more bearable with his chatter.

As an aside, it really is very poor form to troll on a tribute thread.

A true great of broadcasting - and there are very few people who are great at anything! Seemed a lovely man and I Ana ire he was. RIP

As Tony says above.

I am genuinely very sad to hear this. I met him once and he was a very gracious and generous man.

RIP Tel, from one of you old gits

He was a master of daft, and I like daft. Will be listening to my CD of the legendary "Janet and John" stories later - you can see the double entendre coming a mile off but they will still make me smile. Possibly the greatest juggler I have heard on the radio and who can forget the radio firework display he held once.

Shocked about this. A much loved broadcaster, KING of Eurovision and an absolutely brilliant ambassador for Children in Need helping to raise many millions. Will be greatly missed.

For which he was paid an inordinate amount of money. Still it was his job so what the hey.

Yes, very sad. Commuting from MK to Hemel could be pretty hellish for many years - but Wogan could always lighten the mood. I remember more than once having to pull over because of what Terry was saying
