I think the majority of today’s players are at a different level to Gerry, but I think @Cheshire Cat called it correctly IMO.

Good player, but not sure he’d be in the top 50, and not ‘comfortably’.

On his day he was unstoppable. Eg his home debut he was unbelievable. In my opinion, not at the level of say Ward, Horton and Lawrenson of that era but very close. Scored some very important goals for us as well.

Anyone else get coached by him as a kid? Wasn't fully aware of who he was at the time but his sessions were brilliant. Believe he did it for free.
