No other striker at the club is good enough in my opinion, like I've said before Elder is the only one who could be with a bit more time and coaching... In the mean time a new capable striker is a MUST.

Nathan Elder's got to be given a proper chance now, or what was the point of signing him? If only you guys knew what all the Reading and Wycombe fans had to say to me in the office when we signed Bas Savage! They were rabidly telling me he was the worst player they'd ever seen and Albion were a laughing stock until he started bagging goals and proved them wrong. If Savage could turn around respected opinion then our Billarichy rookie definately deserves some proper time before final judgement is passed. Stick him on and see what he can do in the next few games I say before we go hunting for another player.

Nathan Elder was supposed to be THE Big Hope for last season. Bas was a VERY late signing indeed - very last day of the transfer window, if memory serves. we were THAT close to being stuck with Nathan Elder and no Plan B. Sadly, he's now had enough of a run out for it to become apparent that there's little likelihood of of him being able to make the step up in class from non-League. And, yes, I DO know he scores wondrous goals for the reserves. But then again, so did Joe Gatting...

How many games has he started though?

I don't think he does, to be honest with you. He has scored goals but Loft has scored far better ones than him.

Seriously, anyone know how many games he's played as a starter (moreover, finished). Bas was exactly the same by other club fans comments prior to his arrival at the Albion and he's been quite a success. That's why I'm championing Elder been given a further run out.

His team mate Demontagnac or something. Scored a screamer of a goal against us.

Not a chance in hell we would get Abso Ishy. Walsall are pretty much an identically sized club to us, actually, they are in a better present state than us (made a profit of £4,000 last year), so there is no way he would come. Shame, as he looks like he is going to be a great player. The Championship is his next port of call.

It was a great strike but we should have been home and dry at that point.

Thinking on it we have only won 1 league game since then, maybe that was the turning point of our season?
