The game I can recall him scoring in was the bonkers one against Charlton at the Amex. We were 2-0 down after less than 5 minutes, but ended up with winning 3-2 with a couple of goals in the last 10 minutes. JW scored out first goal in that game, I'm pretty sure.

I vividly remembered when he signed, I was amazed that we'd secured him - utd fans screaming for him to be in their first team.

Something was clearly up with him though.

A memorable game and an absolutely brilliant goal. He was only 20 at the time.

He wasn’t well, in my memory. Throwing up on the pitch etc. He had some condition that pretty much destroyed his career.

That sounds about right. Absolutely everything needs to be in place to make it in the game, one thing out and that's it, regardless of talent. Poor guy.

(Gotta be honest, I never had him down as a saviour, but getting someone from MUFC on loan was pretty GLAMOROUS back then).

Edit: we don't even get a mention in his club back-catalogue: 'Wilson first made his name when he scored twice on his Manchester United debut at home to Hull City in the Premier League in May 2014 and later played for Aberdeen and Salford City.'
