That is a top tune, Bushy. Love, love love that tune. Never quite worked out the lyrics to it either. Almost tempted to post Althea and Donna too.

maybe i'm being stupid , but what does ... mean ?!!

It was an edit of a joke that stopped being funny once you had correctly edited your post.

At first I saw just a blank white square so I posted something about it being a dub remix of John Cale's 4'33''. It wasn't funny to start with and then when you corrected your post, it also became bizarre.

I think it's time I went to bed.

My earliest memory of reggae was after 5 a sides down at Lewes Boys Club, Landport; we'd go in the club bit where the skinheads would be doing their moves. Reggae was a huge part of original skinhead culture, & suedeheads. any mention of it?
Dave & Ansell Collins, Double Barrel, brings back memories.
I later got into Linton Kwesi Johnson during the punk era, good stuff.

I'm a bit surprised at some of the negative comments about the coverage last night. Its not as if there is much out there to take us back. I could say what about this or that, but I enjoyed it for what it was. Reminded me that I liked dub, so am running through Present Arms In Dub via youutbe at the moment. Well I like it.

And - apart from the UK Number One - they're Reggae Britannia why? ???

Never said they were a huge part of British Reggae. Just using it as an excuse to play the stuff that I like. Bit like the makers of that documentary. Obviously big fans of the Police.

Wasn't there something very unique about that Althea & Donna song - something along the lines of only female duet to get to no.1 ?

Apart from Elton John & Kiki Dee

It can't be that didn't those two stupod woman who sang faux opera songs get to number 1 as well ?
