It has happened in the past when Bournemouth were gifted ridiculous decisions by 'Hoops', citing his home in Wiltshire.
Ok, it's not Dorset, but close enough.
It's what fans do.
That came as a result of some Bournemouth fanzine referring to him as "Hoops" which is something normal football fans would never do.

We do it to be facetious following the shambolic decision he gave Eddie Howe that day (and let's be fair, that was a scandalously bad one, unlike Joel's aberration the other day).

Sussex but not by the sea
Was the ref going to stop the game when DCL went down holding his hamstring? I'm not sure that he was. Dunk made the ref's mind up by stopping playing. Not a head injury. What the hell was our captain thinking? Too 'nice', too 'passive'. He set the tone for the day in that moment. Which wasn't on the ref.
Without the VAR penalty the ref wouldn't be getting this level of discussion. Everton time wasted to Olympic levels, that is because they are a Dyche team now coached by Moyes, both are anti-football, but it's not new and no ref has ever sent a player off for time wasting, whether they should is another discussion.
