Well known by many in the Sussex County League as an arrogant prick. That’s just from other referees. Also known not to like Brighton. How can he ref our games? Surely the club can ask for him not to ref us and for Attwell to be shot.

Agree @PILTDOWN MAN , given the whinging that goes on from other teams, it does feel/seem at times we are very passive in this respect. I think it’s wrong that a Sussex ref is involved in our games.

Perhaps PB has made representations and we just never hear about it, but so often as supporters it feels we are short changed these days…. (Decisions, time wasting tactics etc…).

One thing I thought was positive yesterday was seeing the VAR decision on screen, even if it was contentious.

Every other ref in the league would’ve done what he did with all their play acting, and it was a penalty.

I’m not really sure what the issue was.
1. Ignored a foul on Mitoma at the NW corner late in the game
2. fell for the time wasting antics and fake injuries for the entire game
3. didn’t review when VH was punched by Pickford who missed the ball
4. Not sure why Pedro was booked - looked like the Everton defender ran at him?
5. Correctly booked Baleba for a body style check on an Everton player but ignored an exact identical check by Everton in the second half.
6. Let’s not discuss the “clear and obvious” penalty error
7. booking the Everton scorer for flapping like a seagull 🤦‍♂️

…apart from the above he was ok.

Not sure re the penalty as Lineker highlighted, really don’t think any player would do that deliberately.

Re the play acting, agree, but they all need to get better as it’s cheating the fans.

I spoke to mate after the game yesterday who'd been reffed by him many times and described as one of the worst non league refs he'd had and not arrogant, but incredibly easy to boss around and tell him what decisions to give

seems a daft appointment, putting someone from the same county to officiate a game involving a club from the same county, bad appointment from PGMOL.
Precisely this.

8. Handball by Branthwaite - hit right on his upper arm - we got a half-shot off deemed to be an advantage (far less so than a Free kick)
9. Clear Everton corner 2/3 mins in - BHA goal kick.

Bloke is a complete clown.

10.I forgot also about the shirt pull on Georginio just before he shot, right in front of the ref. Arguably a penalty or at least a foul on the edge of the area

It was te Everton players in his ear that started the whole penalty scenario. He gave a corner.

refereeing is utter shit, amateurish, not to the rules, and worst of all, embarrassingly inconsistent.

add VAR to the mix and you have a Hindustan Ambassador built by Lada and maintained by Moskvitch

this is the last decent ref I remember. . . .and still the benchmark.

The FA have allowed a culture at grassroots that is scary for kids to be refs. The only ones who go further and get promoted are the ones who are so headstrong that they brush away any criticism, even if its constructive. So now we're being left with referees who have created such a barrier that they always stick up for each other and never accept they have done wrong.

Statistically, his hatred of Brighton is clear. We've lost 100% of games reffed by him

Sure, it's one game, and the winning penalty wasn't even given by him initially, but it's simply impossible to argue against the stats

Thank you for shining the light on this injustice
