Palace picked Eagles for no reason other than because The Glaziers was just embarrassing, and because when they settled on a tenuous bird link, eagles sounded a bit less crap than sparrows, pigeons or bearded tits.
At least there is a clear and obvious connection between Brighton & Hove and seagulls. Eagles are about as common in SE25 as pterodactyls.
