I was always under the impression that you were minted?
Really?
Anyway, I’ve been tasked with finding a car for her with her money.![]()
Er, yeah.Really?
That's nice of her to say she'll pay for it, but that doesn't mean you can't buy her something nice.Anyway, I’ve been tasked with finding a car for her with her money.![]()
I’ve been tasked with finding my partner a cheap run around. Not knowing much about the latest opinions on such matters, I thought I’d ask for suggestions here...
Budget: £2.5k tops.
Requirements:
Cheap to insure for a new driver
High MPG
Cheap to service/repair
Reliable
Small
Min 4 seats (but 2 door is ok)
Any help would be appreciated.

I have to agree with you. Our 1.2l i10 is very fuel-efficient. I think GT49er must have a dud.Weird that your experience should be so different to mine. Mines a 2009 but has the same engine as yours. You're not 28 stone, I take it?!!
I wouldn't have hesitated to recommend the i10 for what the OP wants.
Or blow-up other things.....View attachment 100913
Doesn't meet all your criteria but you could always install 2 blow up seats in the rear. [emoji38]
