JJ Cale - Five.

Literally only discovered JJ Cale in the last two years having judged him as another indulgence from my old man's long distant youth but man that guy can write. After Midnight and Anyway the wind blows are perfect summer cool.

A great "sunshine" album is the new Kurt Vile long player called Wakin on A Pretty Daze.

Cheers, off on holibobs on Tuesday morning and needed something new to up the ante. Perfect.

It's the kind of album you might hear someone playing in a convertible as it glides by in the sunshine or echoing across a sunny field at a festival.

Or as i'm hoping, the perfect back drop to a lazy afternoon stroll along a wide sandy beach on my way to and from the beach bar next week.

to listen to in this weather. Currently sunning myself in the garden whilst we've got our week of summer. Just listened to Primal Scream's Screamadelica and it's helped to set a balmy, chilled out tone, but where do I go next?
