Reasons why Wilkins should be in the dugout NOT the stand

What is comical is the way Wilkins shields his mouth when talking on the phone. Dean - it aint the premiership. Is there a camera trained on him full-time. Would anyone really be interested enough in getting a lip reader ?

Does he really want the fans to hear him asking "what the f*** do we do now?" :D

That might be well and good at a higher level, but I think our lot need shouting at, reminding and encouraging...

You mean like "That round thing, keep it on the ground, kick it to a person in the same colour shirt as you and once in a while try and get it in that big netty thing with that man standing in front of it"?

What a JOKE of a thread.

Nobody moans when other managers sit in the stands. It is just an excuse to have a pop at Wilkins.

That said I would suggest getting a pair of HEAD sets instead of the mobile, although knowing Brighton two tin cans connected by string is more likely.

Ironic that you have moaned about people using Wilkins being in the stand as a stick to beat him with when you have used this thread as a stick to beat the club with.

I don't agree at all. I like Wilkins. To sit in the stand for the entire game would not be so odd if the stand provided a better view. But the North Stand offers barely offers more perspective of the pitch than the dugout. And there are times when players need to see and hear their manager.

I do not know of a manager who has sat the whole game all season in the stands, can you tell me anyone else who does, I would like to point to Mick McCarthy who was on the line by the dug outs and inspired his team to a 2-0 win and then had them all together at the end of the game to tell them how well they did and instilled great team spirit, thats the way to do it, we have Wilkins in the stands on a mobile, White looking clueless and even Poor Ian Chapman shouts instructions and when they are ignored raises this hands in a what the feck should I do way, Wilkins has hung them out to dry and he should take responsibility. I think it wholey unfair several people shouting insults at Chapman Saturday.

He can not be in the dug out as there are already too many coaches there and he would have to tell one to go. So sitting in the stand is an easy option as not to upset anyone. Also DK now has control during matches!!!!!

I think that might be the reason because i know your only allowed a certain amount of people on the bench. (5 subs, 2 medical staff and 2 coaches) There wouldnt be any room for DW!
