If that is the case then we do not need a manager just somebody to pick the team and that could be done by 'committee',. If the players ignore the managers instructions then they shouldnt be being paid by the club if they cant do what they are told, as in any job.

As I posted on another thread, it makes no difference where he sits, when his sole attacking option seems to be long speculative balls aimed loosely in the direction of Savage.

as much as i would like to see him in the dugout, i dont think it would make much different - he just doesnt seem to have a clue how to manage us, which in turn is being passed onto the players

What is comical is the way Wilkins shields his mouth when talking on the phone. Dean - it aint the premiership. Is there a camera trained on him full-time. Would anyone really be interested enough in getting a lip reader ?

Personally, I would rather see him in the dugout... as I suspect it is a reflection of an over-complication in thought and analysis that means he prefers to be in the stands.

That might be well and good at a higher level, but I think our lot need shouting at, reminding and encouraging... and that seems decidedly lacking during matches - especially with the lack of 'talkers' on the pitch.

You might be right. However he would be better off going and making the call at the top of the steps if that is his concern.
