If I had known that picture would have ended up on twitter I would have hoovered the carpet before taking it.
What are your plans for it? (I'm usually at the game so don't know what areas of the stands get best TV coverage & when!)

I normally get away from work around 3pm and drive down, it is really traffic dependant on what time I arrive. I have parking booked for Bridge car park. My friend is going to meet me and will hold it up outside the stadium, but we are both in WSU and I want to pass it to someone in the lower stands, so far one person on twitter/X who is in south lower said they would try to get it from me, but it is difficult to arrange as I am not a credited twitter/X account so can't PM them with any contact details and I am not prepared to share my email and phone number with the world.

So if anyone sees a couple of middle aged women holding it up out side the stadium (near club shop) and would be happy to take it from us to display in the lower part of the stadium, preferbly South lower or North stand. I would be greatful.

This is amazing BTW. See the X account is just formed this month, and with the social media advantages we never had in 1997, I hope everyone will subscribe, RT and spread the word everywhere.

Our current success isn't just Bloom, the Amex, RDZ etc, the road back began the day the football family stood beside us, shoulder to shoulder in our darkest hour.

Lest we forget.

Wow. This is X thread, all about some of the business dealings of Dai Yongge. The EFL have questions to answer in how the hl he ever passed, and why he couldn't be disqualified.

This sounds like a job for the NSK also would permission need to be granted for it to be taken in from the club. Would be great to see this banner behind the goal in the NS for the TV screens.

I have sent an email to the supporter services asking if it is OK. It is a little bit bigger then would normally allow on the club website, I have not heard anything back yet, if they say no, then I would not want to get other fan in trouble.

Sounds more like Archer than I realised.

The training ground that he wants to sell - was that part of the club when he bought it?
That change of tune was done almost faster than some of my recent tune changes :lolol:

However....

It didn't feel like it, but I'm guessing the answer is yes, because his goal even then was simply to make money out of the club - if he could do it by gambling on promotion, he'd have been happy. He may then have sold for a profit or grabbed as much PL money as possible before asset stripping, followed by getting the parachute payments. It's just that when investments were being made, it didn't look like he was dodgy.
Precisely.

Digging into the psychology a bit....The psychopath will normally play safe, and will only kill people when he (its usually a bloke) feels it necessary. And this will then be done without a moment's hesitation.

I feel the fit and proper owner test ought to include an assessment for pyschopathy. But it won't.

Was pretty quick wasn't it. The speed wasn't lost on me, but thought I'd leave it there for posterity.
I must confess to having deleted some of my dafter posts, in recent times.

I do hope you're not suggesting that my post was daft
No. I was referring to mine.

Which, of course, does not preclude the possibility that ........

I'd actually really like a permanent fans united banner at the Amex. I know a lot of our younger fans laugh at those of us that still hark back to the dark days. But it's such a fundamental part of where we are I think it would be a nice addition.
This is what I always wanted our club to be more vocal about. I’d always hoped we’d have a board prepared to speak out about the injustices in the game. It’s brilliant that we do things the right way in our own backyard, but we are not an island. We should speak out for those clubs presently in a weaker position and against those authorities that abuse their power.

How Dai Yongge was ever allowed to take control of the club is not a mystery, because similar owners have systematically taken over clubs like Scunthorpe and Bury and ruined them. Nothing has been learned from our own experiences back in 1997.

I can only think that the EFL needs to somehow have the power to take back control of a club from an owner if certain conditions are met. Perhaps the franchises for all clubs should be sold to owners with the clubs actually owned by the EFL. Probably unworkable.
