Not had one for a while, but today we had this shirt added to oldfootballshirts.com , and the owner doesn't know the team. So, over to you, does anyone know what team this is?

Your input is much appreciated.

Need to send this picture to the College of Arms to identify it. If they don't know then it won't be a British organisation ( might be a rugby club or a school for all I know ).

College of Arms

It definitely isn't Brighton College though.

I've asked the contributor for a close up, for now this is the best I can do

Having a coat of arms or crest identified

Officers of arms are often commissioned to try and identify coats of arms and crests. Frequently this work is carried out for museums, auctioneers, and antique dealers so that the provenance of an object may be established. Private individuals also commission such research. The College holds an extensive series of pictorial indices to the armorial devices in its official records, together with numerous other sources both printed and manuscript which assist in making identifications.

Any person wishing to have arms identified should first either bring to the officer in waiting at the College the object on which they appear, or send an illustration, preferably a photograph. It will then be possible to quote a fee for trying to identify the arms.

I think that's the Nottinghamshire coat of arms, so my guess would be some retro Notts County effort:

Not Notts County, Forest or Mansfield according to this site (tho both Forest and County had similar crests incorporating the Nottingham coat of arms). Definitely a Nottinghamshire club tho - presumably a non-league one.

It could potentially be my old hall - Sherwood Hall - University of Nottingham, or one of the other halls.

I'm not convinced by the Nottinghamshire thing, the crest seems to be two white harts. The Nottinghamshire crest has two stags/red deer. Their shield has a cross on a red background, whereas this has a light colour zigzag band across a solid dark shield.

It has been adapted - in the same way the Notts Co and Nottm Forest ones were.

If it is post-2000 it's not an old football shirt is it?

Look, it's an Argent ( silver ) chevron blazon on an Azure ( blue ) or Noir ( black ) ground chaps, are you all blind or summit......

Well, colourblind yes, hence I wouldn't know what colours to search based on.

Age is subjective. If it's last years shirt, then it's old in my eyes :)

I think it could be a team in the Evostick Premier, I've seen that Badge somewhere in the NLP. (Non-League Paper).

Just had a good look through all the evo stik teams, couldn't see it.
