He was a bell-end for doing what he did.

He has realised this and apologised, re-affirming his commitment to the club.

Hopefully he will now score the goals that keep us up.

No need for f***-offs or pointless 'ner-ner-ner' told you so bollocks. He is backs playing for us and that's what really matters.

im not sure who was nasty about him either, i thought the consensus was he's not bigger than the club and backed Poyet in his judgment of the situation. some might haev expressed themselfs with expletives and there were a few that seem to think he done nothing wrong.

why did he act like that for over a week then?

its all done now. he's hasnt had to make a full grovelling apology, he knows his place. onwards. i for one hope he gets a new contract for next season, but i dont expect us to bend over for his signature.

100% correct!!!

Now time to move on and wait for Fozzies goals!

:clap2:

Reality check by Mr Forster I think. Has just realised that he's 36 at that he's opportunities are very very few. So i better stick to what I have and hopefully they maybe something after I hang my boots up here.

Hats of to Gus...top bit of managing....nobody is bigger than the club and no-one can call the shots except me the manager.........top man...well done

I can't believe how dumb some of these posts are. Everyone still keeps referring to 'what he had done' but can anyone actually clarify this. As far as I am aware, he merely stated a fact that his contract is up at the end of the season and he is now entitled to talk to other clubs because Brighton haven't offered him a new one. That is fact and applies to anyone where their contract finishes within the next 6 months. He never handed in a transfer request and never said he actually wanted to leave. Poyet dropped him from the team, not vice versa. He never demanded a two year contract or even a one year contract. He just stated that, under the rules, he is entitled to speak to other clubs. No one knows if he actually did.

According to the latest statements, he hasn't apologised and neither was Poyet (to his credit) asking for one.

I actually think the Forster statement is very well worded. He has got what he wanted, to highlight to everyone that he only wanted a one year deal and frankly as leading goalscorer he probably deserves one. Everyone is assuming that Forster has somehow backed down. I don't think that's the case at all. I think it is a jointly agreed statement that gets Forster back in the team. He doesn't get his contract, but he has well and truly made a very valid point.

Spot on. Good to see there is another NSCer who can read rather than just listen to garbage and hearsay.
