Re: The Return of Forster

Those of you that called him every name under the sun, said that you hope he f**ks off, don't need him etc, what are your views now?

Will you no longer support him as a player?
Will you ignore him when he claps the away fans?
Or will you admit you were jumping to conclusions and now look like a bit of a tit?

I'm expecting a big old silence. For the record, I was roughly on the fence throughout, as I didn't feel we knew enough to truly take sides.

Name one person who has called him every name under the sun?

I don't think anyone jumped to conclusions either, he acted like a tit, he realised it and has now (sort of) taken it back.

I said, and i quote, 'f*** him', just yesterday. Everything that was said (and not said) seemed to suggest Forster had made it clear, through his agent or whatever, that he wouldn't be at the club next year. Poyet was clearly pissed off at him, hinting that he didn't want to be playing for the club at Orient. Considering we're sitting uncomforatbly in the relegation spots I'd hope our club captain would be behaved a little more responsibly to be honest.

I no longer think 'f*** him' but I'm disappointed in the whole saga and hope he can find some form and keep us up.

Valid point. Too many people take extreme views and many appeared to despise him for what he did although it still isn't clear what he did that was sufficient for our leading scorer to be dropped.

It isn't as if he is a stroppy teenager who hasn't a clue. He is an experienced pro and in the item he makes valid points - certainly more than we have picked up without him.

I would like to think he would have taken the first chance Murray missed on Saturday and would have been on the end of something at Orient and against Huddersfield.

Mellotron - you can be a bit of a drama queen.

I just thought it an interesting talking point, that's all. Like I said, I was fairly on the fence because I felt we weren't in possession of most of the facts. No "drama" here.

And a bit of a self-righteous one at that.

What have I said that was self righteous? For the THIRD time I'll state I was on the fence, so I'm clearly NOT posting this as a big "told you so".

 Dear me.

He was a bell-end for doing what he did.

He has realised this and apologised, re-affirming his commitment to the club.

Hopefully he will now score the goals that keep us up.

No need for f***-offs or pointless 'ner-ner-ner' told you so bollocks. He is backs playing for us and that's what really matters.

Having read his statement/ apology, I still can't understand why it has taken 10 days to clarify exactly what his position was.

Disappointed. IMO he has alot to do to make up for his faux pas. Like scoring a hatful of goals to keep us up! :clap2:

Apologies Mellotron, I hadn't properly read your post and jumped the gun assuming this was another NSC 'I told you so' post. No excuse for doing that so humble pie eat.

Still think you are a bit of a drama queen though :)

im not sure who was nasty about him either, i thought the consensus was he's not bigger than the club and backed Poyet in his judgment of the situation. some might haev expressed themselfs with expletives and there were a few that seem to think he done nothing wrong.

It isn't as if he is a stroppy teenager who hasn't a clue.

why did he act like that for over a week then?

its all done now. he's hasnt had to make a full grovelling apology, he knows his place. onwards. i for one hope he gets a new contract for next season, but i dont expect us to bend over for his signature.

As I didn't quote you directly I wasn't actually referring to your original post. Just stating my opinions on the matter.

OK. I have just proved that I am a bit of a drama queen. Apologies.

Carry on.

how can we ever be dissapointed about the fact that our top scorer has made up with everyone?especially when we are in a relegation fight.

yes,he may have said the wrong thing etc...but we need him,and he has always been a class act for our club
