I have no problem with the OP starting this thread. I’m not about to support any RDZ out calls, but it’s fair to ask what the hell is going on. We do appear to have taken a few steps backwards. We’re a bit powder puff at the moment.

I don’t want him out but to be honest I am a bit sick of the circus. Week after week linked with other clubs, hasn’t signed a new contract, comments in the media about dissatisfaction on signing policy, and never ending rotation that seems to be getting more and more random.

Maybe him moving on in the summer isn’t the end of the world.
I agree really.

And the last few days have fuelled those thoughts. If we lose badly at Roma, our season will turn to complete rat shit inside 8 days. His decision to play a less than full strength team at Wolves, and then a weird line-up and consequent predictably crap defeat today have potentially ruined the season.

On the other hand, beat Roma over two legs and win a couple of league matches and all will be forgotten.

Honestly though, I'm not hopeful.

I'm glad I don't appear to be the only one with these frustrations, not just on the sturborness to accept the keeper rotation just doesn't work, but also the moodiness and implicit moaning about signing policy. We may not have spent big, but it's not always about the ££. What we have done is provided him with some outstanding players to work with over the past year and a half and projected his status way beyond where it was previously.

Keep all the abuse coming, you keyboard warriors that don't seem to like people having an opinion. I'm sure you;d be happy to say it all face-to-face.

He needs to get his head around the fact that we’ve been worked out. It happened to Potter and he failed to see the signs. RDZ needs to work with what he’s got and surprise teams.

He also needs to recognise that the longer this goes on the less likely he’ll be to get a big club come after him.

Not as if this is the first time we have lost to Fulham.

In fact, we have never beaten them in the EPL.

Also, if the goalkeepers are crap because we rotate them, which of the two crap keepers should be starting?

With our injuries and number of fixtures it is hardly surprising we are struggling a bit now. The hype over RDZ has also been absurd - he is a young manager, still very much learning and is doing well, whilst he does need to learn to coach defence and stop the damaging goalkeeper rotation. He's not leaving us and we wont be so daft as to sack him.
Do you think RDZ can adapt though? I’m getting the impression it’s one way or highway, that savvier manages can and do frustrate and counter successfully, and he’s yet to find another gear to overcome this. Maybe he will, maybe he won’t? I definitely agree with you on the overhype, like Ferguson. Footballs like that though. No one plays a long game, you can’t. Conditions don’t allow! Which is why I’m predicting a summer swoop from Chelsea to take both in a 1/4 £billion double deal (only to sack RDZ in late August after 2 draws, and sell Ferguson for a pound to Dagen & West Ham one year before his 15 year contract expires in 2039. #Heard.It.Here.First.)

Continuously rotating the goalkeepers when Steele is clearly a f***ing liability.

Persisting with Webster who is a donkey.

Roberto is clearly leaving at the end of the season, so doesn't care anymore.

The players are aware he is leaving and their performance's are clearly affected by this.

Roberto, if you are going, then go now. We are a sinking ship. We can get someone like Allerdyce in until the end of the season to steady the ship.
Is this a Crodo thread?

Are you in a sauna with @nwgull

Wise words. Especially the observation on being backed - he was the one who wanted Fati, and he was very much backed there. Fati has been bang average except for a couple of smart finishes against pub team Ajax and a consolation in a 6-1 defeat.

I actually don't have a problem with keeper rotation. It doesn't look too clever when things are difficult, but it's been absolutely fine for around 5 of the 7 months this season in my view.

In the end though, like Potter he's being let down by an inability to take what chances we do create. Ferguson's was gilt-edged. You can't be putting those wide.

Is he trying to get himself sacked?

I’ve had enough of constant keeper rotation every 2 games with no regard to how well the respective keeper has actually played before being dropped. It’s no wonder our defence has been turd all season.
Why you worrying about the keepers ? It was the other 10 players that were shit. I couldn’t care less if he goes to be honest.

It’s a team selected with Thursday in mind. My opinion is you play your best available 11every game. No one wants this season to be a one off in Europe so chucking away points that could help ensure it again next season in favour of prioritising a trophy we’re not realistically going to win makes no sense to me.
Even f all that were true, which it undoubtedly isn't, which of our uninjured players that RDZ is protecting would you have fielded today?

(Obviously you would have started with the other keeper, the one who gifted a goal the other week by dicking around).

One or the other. Neither has been great this year, but I’m sure they’d both have been better with a decent run. Bart hasn’t been selected for the Dutch senior team for the LOLs.

Maybe last years over achievement, losing arguably our 2 best players without replacing with quality of same level yet, injuries and an inexperienced squad generally for such a big season are all slowly catching up. Up to RDZ and the experienced players like Milner and Lallana to help everyone get back ok there feet and try put a big end of the season.

You may have a point. When a player isn't doing very well, keep picking him and he will improve?

We could try the same with Webster too. Bound to work.

(I have my own view on why we have lost the last two games, but I am keeping it a secret ???)

Agree, he’s a stupid spiked haired, stubborn, miserable Italian twat, who can bugger off to Barcelona with my blessing. 🤣

Maybe not, but that is what went through my head as the 3rd goal went it. Now I am looking forward to Thursday and hope to god Roma do not park the bus.

With the Allerdyce reference I'll give this effort a positive 1/10.

I really wouldn't bother in future.
I think you are being very generous there…I’m thinking a negative figure ….but hey we all know the poster craves attention and he’s succeeding ….so maybe 1/10 for that
