There’s no doubt RDZ’s football has been fantastic at times but let’s not forget he got the Brighton job at the ideal time.

The physical foundations were built and he inherited a talented squad with the youth system bearing fruit. Plus he was backed by a top class support team.

He is not the only manager who would have succeeded with this set-up.

Anyway, he will go in the Summer.

Don’t be surprised if his successor thrives, and RDZ doesn’t have quite the Midas touch at his next club - mainly because his tactics can be hit and miss, and he’s volatile. It would also be interesting to know who in the club was behind which transfers.

He needs to get his head around the fact that we’ve been worked out. It happened to Potter and he failed to see the signs. RDZ needs to work with what he’s got and surprise teams.

He also needs to recognise that the longer this goes on the less likely he’ll be to get a big club come after him.

With Potter though, he didn’t seem as stubborn, and although his tactics were worked out to an extent, he adaoted and certainly ended his time on a high results wise. Can’t not give him credit for the run of 30 points from 13 games before he left.

He’d have probably adapted and got Chelsea going eventually, so it was quite amusing to see him sacked so quickly.

Yep, as per my post above, he inherited a team that was on a run of over 2 points a game. And we’d played some very decent teams in that run as well.

He was the ideal manager to give that Brighton team a turbo mode. For some reason ,that was beyond Potter.
Massive kudos to RDZ for that.
IMO there are question marks as to whether he’s got the skills to rebuild a bigger club though.
