[Albion] RDZ Linked to Juventus

There is absolutely no evidence that Juve are considering him. And Allegri is still there.

It's just lazy journalism. He might be considered if Allegri goes and he might also be considered by other clubs too.

Daily Mail office junior stuff.

Ignoring the obvious trolling the day after the window shuts, for a manager who’s been here 5 mins, from a Daily Mail article prob from a palace fan or journo with an agenda, I do think many are getting it wrong re RDZ. This ‘not backing him in the window’ thing seems to be mentioned a lot. He did say some img on Sat about players in, but again, I do think his English is easy to mis-interpret. From when I’ve heard him talk in the matter he very much distances himself from being involved in transfers. Our club often say Jan business isn’t ideal, and we have a great group of players and added more youngsters that potentially fit our success stories… Think RDZ is just fine.

Maybe the OP is rebel51's offspring?

In all seriousness, if (when) RDZ moves on, the club's stock is likely to be even higher than when GPott naffed off. That means either a) TB and co will have no problem getting the person they've inevitably got lined up already or b) have no shortage of willing candidates to carry on the good work done by the previous managers.

It's not rocket science that managers, like players, will move on to better things and, as fans, we should expect it – even if we don't like it.

As with the likes of Caicedo, MacAllister, Mitoma and all the others, make the most of RDZ while he's here.

if potter's clause was £20M, what will RDZ's be? highly doubt juve could afford him
Signing a new, longer contract would be sweet for us.

RDZ would get a deserved pay rise, in reality he'd still be allowed to depart when he chooses but the compensation due to us would be vast.

Sit down, put your feet up, have a nice cup of tea and some biscuits, relax.

Situation normal - same as it ever was.

Let's go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for this all to blow over.............

I think in one of his interviews after we beat Liverpool he mentioned that the club know what players he wanted and that we needed to strengthen to achieve Europe.

#edit - sorry to be clear he said that after we beat Liverpool this season
#edit2 - this year in fact
#edit3 - in January
#edit4 - FFS - I meant after the last time we beat Liverpool in January this year

Yes it was Saturday I think but not sure on the exact words. I’ve heard him say he doesn’t really get involved with transfers to a degree before and seem quite happy for others to do it.

He also said that the squad was strong enough if we kept Caicedo and that he was happy if that was the case. It's a lot of fuss about nothing.

An bit of an irritating choice of thread to start the very morning after everyone is feeling relief Moises is still with us but I’ll bite because it is annoying. 😏

RDZ was considered one of the ‘most innovative’ and ‘exciting’ coaches in Italian football when he was at Sassuolo. What he achieved there in terms of developing the team’s style of play and successive top half finishes on a shoestring budget compared to their rivals did not go unnoticed globally by teams including Brighton.

I think it would be rather ‘entitled’ of us to think RDZ had no other offers to consider before signing with Brighton (even though he was the only one we spoke to) or an insult to RDZ we would find it shocking that he is (has been for years) getting interests from Series A Italian clubs and likely other PL and European clubs too. As with our young rising star talents who are increasingly garnering interest of other top tier clubs, RDZ is also hot property at Brighton and getting hotter as Brighton’s football this season attracts wider admiration - these stories will be (and are) self-perpetuating throughout the season now.

We can’t continually stress about every tweet and media tittle tattle about our staff and players being ’linked’ to other clubs (because it’s mostly just bollox bouncing around) or we’ll end up with stomach ulcers and seriously high blood pressure (if we haven’t already) - it’s all transitionary - I say enjoy them while we have them - which is at least until the end of what is on track to be another record breaking season now. That, and have faith that TB‘s replacement recruitment strategy both for staff and players has us already covered before it even happens.

Why does anyone, even journalists now, who states anything remotely controversial have to be palace fan? seriously grow up people. You probably don't even understand the whole Palace/Albion rivalry in the first place! its ridiculous.

Oh do f*** off kid. Reading your posts you’re clearly not BHA or just a complete spoilt brat fan who doesn’t understand the club, let alone the rivalry with the scum.

No that's understandable, we beat them so often. If only we could play them every week

Pretty sure my hangover at work on Monday was due to the game being played on Sunday :)

I'm not trying to join in the shit-stirring by the troll but he clearly said he wanted more players:

I think he is such a passionate guy that he was feeling as despondent as the rest of us about the MC saga at the time (and the attempted assassination of Ferguson), so if he is anything like me he will be as happy as Larry today and probably skipping around Lancing whistling a happy tune.

Getting a ball playing, left footed CB would have been the icing on the cake, but that would have made it a perfect transfer window and we can never have perfect can we...

But you haven't stated anything controversial. Your post history is pretty much:

- Undav is rubbish, which you posted at a time he was going through a personal tragedy.
- We need to sign Ben Brereton Diaz after we failed to score at Charlton. Since when we've scored 21 goals in 6 games without Diaz.
- I believe an eight day old article by the Daily Mail's janitor's cat proves I was right about the first two items.
