Any manager who goes from losing 9-0 to Leicester to beating the Champions in around a year and a bit is entitled to be happy about that for my mind. It's vindication of the board's decision to stand by him and not sack him, fair play to him.

Bloke probably cried at home after the 9-0 so he can have some slack doing so after beating the Champions.

Not very German* of him though (*ethnic German / Holy Roman Empire / German Federation / Republic of German/Austria whatevs)

Must be a German thing. Never understood when people lapped up Wagner and Huddersfield doing that stupid celebration with their fans every time they got a point in the PL. Noddy

That said I think I might cry if we ever win a PL match again

He's Austrian!

Whatever happened to the Teutonic trait of cold machine-like efficiency? Wagner, Klopp and Hassenhuttel are three of the more emotional managers to have graced the Prem.

Oh yeah showing enjoying is so "look at me" isn't it. What he should be is a proper man who can take all the abuse he got before and stay a calm emotionless robot. That's a man.

FFS this response just makes you look so out of touch.

You really are so tedious.

Yes yes showing emotion is tinpoit and tedious. Oh yes, stiff upper lip old chum.

No, you simpleton, it isn't. And neither Easy 10 nor I suggested that it was. It's all about perspective though isn't it. Winning a run-of-the mill football match with no known mitigating factors seems way over the top. This of course is obvious to all but the thickest people on here, which clearly includes you.

I wish you'd just step away from the keyboard. Your faux outrage at absolutely everything is very tedious. Go and get a girlfriend or something. Failing that, go and have a w*nk like most boys your age.

As usual, you take your argument all the way across to the opposite extreme in a limp attempt to prove a point.

Obviously I wouldn't expect him to click his heels, turn and march down the tunnel in a "job done" kind of way. He'd more than earned the right to cerebrate. But going the full Platoon as if he's just won Olympic gold for the Decathlon following a win in a bog-standard league game against a scratch Liverpool team, was a little OTT in my opinion. If thats where he sets the bar for his buckle-kneed tear-soaked celebrations, then what the hell is he going to do if his team actually WINS something ?

I didn't actually notice, but did Klopp get the chance of a handshake before Hassenhuttle started grovelling all over the floor ? Must've been mildly bemusing, I doubt he's ever faced that kind of reaction from an oppo manager after his team has been turned over.

I'd be mortified if Potter ever did that (not that its likely we'd get the chance).

Run of the mill game!? Did you not see the abuse he got last season after the 9-0 thrashing or are you incapable of any empathy? Or maybe you think it was ok and he deserved it and should take it like a man or some crap? Or maybe he has something else going on?

Maybe you should think about that before getting so offended by a man showing emotion. You are both so quick to jump on anything that could be slightly described as "snowflakey" or whatever you all are calling it these days. It is pathetic.

Yes, I was mortally OFFENDED by his reaction last night, and I am still absolutely STEAMING, as I hope my posts on the matter fully convey.

Have a day off, dilbert.

Yes, a run of the mill game, albeit against the league leaders. Are you arguing with that?

What on earth are you talking about? I remember it well, it was well over a year ago now and he has left that disaster WELL behind. He's had nothing but plaudits all season, you soppy tit.

Maybe you should think about that before getting so offended by a man showing emotion. You are both so quick to jump on anything that could be slightly described as "snowflakey" or whatever you all are calling it these days. It is pathetic.
Where else have I quickly jumped on something "snowflakey"? I don't think I've ever even used that term. If you knew anything about my personal life, you'd know I would never do this for my own reasons. But you don't, and this is what makes you such a complete cretin.

It just looked like tears of relief to me.
He's had an issue at home with covid so maybe that's taken a bit out of him.
Other than that and probably being very proud of his team I, like all on here, haven't a clue!

Some of the posts from the usual comedy merchants are very funny, I must admit, but nobody but the man himself will know what was going on in his head, so I'm with Plooks on this one. Sort of :lolol:

Perhaps he was crying because he found out he'd have to home schools his kids for months after the final whistle went.
