all the roads with parking restrictions under the exclusion zone have had since day 1 a temporary sign saying "no football parking" and a couple of stewards.

if it aint got them it is out of the zone

I happened upon a revolutionary idea a few seasons ago. I call it Park and WALK. This involves leaving one's car at the Mill Road park-and-ride site and then -- studiously ignoring the temptations of all those special buses that wheeze by, windows streaming with the beery breath of all those clearly unfit or elderly, blue-and-white clad Albion Bunters -- WALKING (a complex process involving alternating use of the feet and dozens of muscles and ligaments) for as long as 20 entire minutes, before arriving - miraculously unassailed by lurking murderers or other people's body odour - at the Theatre of Trees. (I understand that oxygen cylinders can can be made available for those completing this Herculean, strength-sapping ordeal.)

All sounds a bit painfull to me, I think i'll stick to using the bus.

Thats what I thought, having never seen a sign there before. But, on the day of the Ipswich pre season game, there was a sign at the bottom of Carden Avenue.

sorry not there for that one. but carden ave is usually a good bet. by choice i usually park in the road opposite patcham high school for a clear run to the A23 and the choice of either the longman or ladies mile for a post game pint

as a former withdean resident i can confirm that they will do sweet f*** ALL about you parking in the area

it was put there to sweeten the local residents who were anxious about a load of YOBS parking outside their house and pissing on their kids

as most of them realise that that doesn't ACTUALLY happen, the vast majority wouldn't give a shit if you park IN their bedroom, pissed on their kids, pissed on THEM and shat in their wife's mouth

go for it.........literally f*** ALL will happen

i've only parked in the exclusion zone once (Boston in the cup when it pissed down) I sat legally parked waiting for the rain to stop, no colours or car stickers etc. a steward walked up the hill and asked me and Senorita Jamon if we we're parking for the football, I lied and said no, while this was going on a car pulled up in front of us and the couple got out opened the boot and proudly slipped Albion shirts over their tops and said steward walked past them without comment
