Sounds like an excellent atmosphere, fantastic achievement for 4000 people to turn up and says alot about the way we regard our youth team/youth matches.

I watched a couple of youth games last season and there were only about 30 people there.

I don't wish to be cynical and in no way wish to appear to diss the youth setup, which I believe to be one of the best operations in the country, but how many of those at the game tonight are there because we're playing Chelsea.?

How many would have turned up if they'd been playing Stevenage Borough or Nuneaton Town for example.?

billiant, COME ON BOYS!! i think that its good to see how many people support the youth set up, but you'e right if it had been a smaller team then we wouldnt have got half the amount of people there as we did tonight. still great to see though

I remember back at the Goldstone we played Villa in the quarters or even semis of the cup and there were only 1000 there at the most.
