If you're going to act the SMARTARSE, best get his NAME right you soppy cock knocker.

Do you know, I actually spotted that typo, and couldn't bothered be to edit it, as I thought "No goons are going to be petty enough to call that". How wrong I was.

It appears no ex Brighton player has a recored of playing for teams in the order you have given. Millwall to Brighton or Spurs to Brighton, Brighton to Swindon.
That's 10 mins of my life I'll not get back. :(

Mate of mine met some bloke ( but didn't get his name !) who reckoned he was an ex BHA player.

Average height , was approx 55 years old....
Played for Spurs...Millwall...BHA...Swindon

Any ideas..

Martin Chivers?

Played for us, briefly, and Spurs...but didn't play for Millwall or Swindon...unless his memory is totally shot!

What are you TALKING about? Suddaby was here in 1980, Smilie (sic) was here from 1982-85.

18 months apart. Hardly different eras.

Suddaby RETIRED, before Smillie joined the Albion.

Anyway, even if you're TECHNICALLY right, they are from very, very different eras in my eyes; One is from 'before I started going', one is 'from when I went all the time and loved it'. :jester:

*was VERY surprised on looking, to see that Suddaby is actually four years YOUNGER than Smillie...

I thought about Martin Chivers, but he was in his 50s when I played against him about 15 years ago!

Nearest I can find is Ray Clarke; wasn't at Millwall, but was at Mansfield, maybe the guy got his M's wrong.

Yeah, if this bloke played for Spurs there is a fair chance we would remember him...unless it was just as a reserve or youth team player, in which case it is much harder as his main club might have been Swindon or Millwall...and not even the Albion.

I met a bloke a few years ago in Gloucester who told me that he had been on the books at Brighton, unfortunately he signed around the same time as a certain Peter Ward, which kind of limited his opportunities and he only managed a few games in the reserves.

Jimmy Collins a wing half who we got from Spurs. Also Bobby Smith not the centre forward one but also a half back?

They were both at Spurs when we got them from their reserves.
