Just seen this torrent of kid's TV programme from the mid to late 70s and wondered how many people would remember. Rainbow and Jamie are probably givens but Pipkins was one of my favourites and I remember Itsy and Bitsy as well and I do remember hating Potty Time - not sure Goon humour transfers to 5 year olds.

Rainbow (16 October 1972) 00:17:50 170 MB
Shapes
David, Bungle and Zippy explain shapes with the help of Curly and Straight. Moony and Sunshine, and Sally and Jake also help

Pipkins (16 October 1978) 00:15:40 150 MB
Gnome Sweet Gnome
When someone leaves a large box of things for the shop, Hartley looks inside to find 4 gnomes. He doesn't know what they are, so he asks Johnny who tells him that they are gnomes. Soon, the gang visit a workshop that makes gnomes and learn all about how they're made. The only question they have now is where will the gnomes in the shop go? After some discussion, they all decide that it will be best to put them in the garden next to the flowers.

This episode was recovered from a domestic recording.

Cloppa Castle (5 April 1978) 00:11:05 106 MB
Bees In Their Bonnets
Cloppa Castle is a medieval fort under permanent siege from a band of angry rebels, bent upon upsurping the throne. Unless it's tea time, of course, in which case the friendly enemies will partake of a cuppa with their opposite number.

Gammon And Spinach (4 May 1978) 00:11:21 109 MB
Garth Pig & The Icecream Lady
Valerie Pitts reads the story by Mary Rayner, with illustrations by Barry Pickersgill.

A Handful Of Songs (20 December 1976) 00:11:15 108 MB
Keith Field and Maria Morgan present requests, paintings and songs.

Paperplay (26 June 1979) 00:11:07 106 MB
Swinging Cat
Sue discovers a kitten so puppet spider pals Itsy and Bitsy show how to make a "swinging cat" with whiskers and a tail from paper and string.

Tingha And Tucker Club (13 July 1970) 00:11:28 110 MB
"Woomerang, Boomerang - look over there! It's Tingha and Tucker, the two little bears!" "Auntie" Jean Morton stars alonside Tingha and Tucker - two cheeky koalas - in what is believed to be the sole remaining episode of this series.

Issi Noho (20 September 1976) 00:11:08 106 MB
Panda Sandwiches Are Most Indigestable
Issi and the Martin family go to see the pantomime Jack And The Beanstalk. Issi doesn't like the beanstalk so magics one up - with unexpected results.

Michael Bentine's Potty Time (26 November 1973) 00:10:26 100 MB
North West Frontier
The stories of the struggles for the North West Frontier are amongst the most exciting in history. But what was the truth behind the fighting? The Pottys and Michael Bentine investigate.

Jamie & The Magic Torch (17 April 1978) 00:11:08 106 MB
Yoo-hoo Yeti!
Jamie and Wordsworth the sheepdog, accompanied by Strumpers Plunkett, set off in search of a mysterious creature.

The Laughing Policeman (25 April 1974) 00:11:17 108 MB
Episode 1
Deryck Guyler stars as PC254 - always ready with a smile, a friendly word of advice and a funny story for all his young friends.

BTW - If anyone wants to get this, PM me for an invite to The Box.

I remember Inigo Pipkin very well. I used to watch when I came home from school for lunch(I lived opposite my infants school) I think the actor an old boy who played Pipkin retired or died fairly soon after the first series so his son ?? took over. I remember the 'time' part of the show I used to wait for that.

My fav was a programme called 'a handful of songs'

Does anyone remember a programme called 'Striker' from the BBC in about 1976?

Was about a young lads footy team and mainly on the boy was the the striker and his lone parent dad.

Joe Gladwin was in it.

The littlest hobo was the one I most remember, mainly for the theme tune but that might not have been the 70's
