Is there any news on when the quarter final times and dates will be fixed?

I understand it’s tricky as every (?) tie has a team due to play on Tuesday 1st April and those games would have to move to allow for a Sunday FA Cup game.

Luckily for us we’re at home so train ticket costs aren’t rising as we wait (except for our further afield fans).

Website will update as soon as the club know. Ticket website currently clearly states Villa game may be moved to the Wednesday

The FA and the Premier League have issued a joint statement saying that all PL teams remaining in the Cup will play their ties on Tuesday 1st April. It has been decided that those clubs involved will play a ‘double header’ on the day.

Therefore, Brighton and Hove Albion v Nottingham Forest will kick off at 4.00pm in their FA Cup tie. This will allow for sufficient time to include the possibility of extra time and a penalty shoot out. Following this the PL fixture between Brighton and Hove Albion v Aston Villa will start at 8.00pm.

Nottingham Forest will have sufficient time to return to the City Ground for their PL fixture with Manchester United with a 8.00 pm kick off.

Aston Villa will play their FA Cup at Preston North End with a kick off time at 3.00 pm thus allowing sufficient time at the conclusion of the tie to travel to Brighton.

AFC Bournemouth v Manchester City TBA.

Should the above arrangements be unsuccessful in their execution the relevant ties will be decided by a toss of a coin.

Going through the changes that will have to be made, note there is only one live televised game a night.
TNT have Forest v Man Utd on the Tuesday. If we play Sunday this game would have to move. If they move it to Wednesday then Liverpool v Everton would have to move (it's the live Sky game). Neither are in the Cup so a simple move to Tuesday, but boy would that upset the 100's of tourists who have booked trains, flights and hotels. But they are only fans so who cares. Incidently, the Liverpool ticket site has it as 'subject to change'. Everton play on Sky Saturday 5th at 12:30 so Thursday is out for them.
They could move Forest v Man Utd to Thursday. Sky have Chelsea v Spurs and fewer 'tourists' would moan at that going to Tuesday. BUT Forest play Villa on Sky on Saturday so Thursday/Saturday wont work. So Forest have to play Tuesday or Wednesday.
Another point is Notts County have a home game on the Wednesday so in reality we will play on the Saturday 12:30 or 5:30 slot.
What about the other 6 teams?
B'muff, Villa & Fulham play on the following Tuesday but untelevised so easily moved.
Man City & Palace have games on the Wednesday so Sunday is fine for them.
Preston have no mid week game.
So-
Brighton v Forest Sat 12:30
Fulham v Palace Sat 5:30
PNE v Villa Sun 2:00
B'muff v City Sun 4:30

This would have a knock on of
Brighton v Villa moved to Wednesday 2nd along with B'muff v Ipswich.
Man City v Leicester would remain Wednesday although could move as neither play on the Saturday 5th.

Got all that? It took me 10 minutes.

Good summary - thanks for that - I'm hoping that if we are the Saturday, we're the 5.30 slot.

I think that's a possibility and then hopefully Fulham v Palace game would be the early one.....

I'm away the weekend, so unless it's Friday night (which is unlikely), I'm out
It's nice not to be fussed but I'm going to be anxious about getting a signal on the train to keep up with the score

Fulham v Palace is apparently definitely on the Saturday.

Us playing on Saturday and Villa playing on Sunday would be the ideal, having the extra day's recovery before the league game.

Us playing Sunday though, increases the likelihood of Mitoma, Estupinan, Gomez, etc being fit to play after the international travelling.

God I hate international breaks now, once upon a time I looked forward to them, breaking the monotony of the dark days.
I never understood the Premier League teams fans moaning about the breaks, thinking they were being selfish and not real fans.

I have joined the club
