You do realise this is a footb

You do realise this is a football forum to discuss BHAFC and people therefore usually talk about what they’re just seen?

FWIW also thought Wieffer looked good.
Strange, I thought Wieffer looked off the pace!
I'm sure he'll get up to speed soon

I know I'm an old softy but I found it a shame we couldn't muster a Fabian Hurzeler chant of some description during the 90 minutes. Not the easiest of situations for a young manager to come into and a bit of encouragement wouldn't have gone amiss. A few around me gave it a go but it didn't take.

Found it funny we finally pulled out a Pascal Gross chant after 7 years and after he has just left

How did Osman do, replacing two players? - replacing Milner on 62 minutes, and then Minteh on 74*. Pretty impressive that!

* That's what it states on the official website match report (as at 18.50 on Saturday evening - I accept that somebody might go in and hurriedly correct it!)

just seen the pictures from the game on facebook. Carlos Beleba seems such a happy lad, I think he will be one of my favourite players next season, really hope he enjoys himself and we see the best of him.

Incredible natural talent. He looks world class from a physical and dribbling perspective.

It was… ok. Minteh and Osman look good. Cozier Duberry should have scored but hit the side netting. Nothing to fear with Baleba and JP at the back but there was generally nothing to fear from QPR whatsoever.

I hope whoever it was who was passed out in the gents at 2.40pm is ok. Pace yourself, it’s a long season.

Pretty underwhelmed by that performanice and I worry that we are two weeks from kick off and FH doesn’t seem to have a clue what his best team is. No surprise as so many players weren’t available. All a bit scattergun to me at the moment

I thought Baleba and Ayari were amongst our better players and Sarmiento looked keen. I doubt more than one of them will be a starter when everyone is available though
Bit early to start the ’negativity about the manager’ posts 😉 Or for other posters to be writing off players we’ve just signed who are clearly an amazing potential.

We haven’t even started the Premier League season yet, the transfer window is still open (with potential signings as well as loans) so things are in transition. We have literally only played a handful of pre-season friendlies (all of which we have comfortably won with various combinations of players) which amount to nothing more than training matches and testing various players in various positions. As for Baleba, I tapped him months ago as one of our break out young players this season and he is still on the right track for being so imo.

Lets see what the squad looks like at the end of August and do remember naysayers, at the risk of stating the obvious, there are more than 11 starter-level players in a successful mid-table Premier League squad who are aiming for higher.

Ayari did well in first half and showed promise - he is a possible alternative to Gilmour.

JPVH looks on form, stepping up as a leader. Minteh and Mitoma provie lovely balance out wide and with Barco and Hinsh behind them shortly we will get back to having that threat out wide.

I loved the wolfpack closing down and I think that will suit players like Sarmimeto, possibly Undav.

I think we made QPR look ordinary - they never had any sustained pressure, just moments.

Overall - with those players - I'll take that performance.

Agree with most of this, but thought Mitoma looked rusty. But again, another player come back from a long layoff so not surprising.

The JP one sounded OK. Can't believe no one has started a Carlos Beleba one. It virtually writes itself: Then I saw his face...etc.
Good shout. Needs detail to work.
