It didn't happen as far as I am aware. I remember the younger lad in The Depressions cycling round Brighton from venue to venue one evening because he'd heard this rumour.


The Jam did play the Embassy cinema. 'Punky Steve' off his tits and causing trouble outside as we queued to get in....<sigh>

That wouldve been "'Ammer Frank", on his bike lol

Never got Punk; I was probably too old, being a '60's music man myself.
Thought it was a fu---ng racket.
