Mrs. H thinks it's Lenny Kravitz too. I suppose I just wanted it to be the GP because he seems like a bit of a cock.

Think its too obvious to be the Doctor now, could it be the dead girls father?
Good drama though, looking forward to it tonight, cant believe there has been two hours of a programme with Anna Friel not taking her clothes off!?! they must be some skin in the final one tonight.:clap2:

Sad fact to, is that thousands of innocents are in jail for a crime they didn't commit.
BA, Hannibal, Face and Murdoch, to name four, instantly.

It can only be one of:

The guy himself - looking increasingly unlikely. I find his g/f quite FIT by the way.
The doc - too obvious. I think he did indeed shag the murdered girl, but don't think he murdered her.
Kravitz - I think he is my favourite. On finding out about the doc, I reckon he thought he'd have a turn on her and it all turned nasty when she refused. Also one or two things have been said that arouse my suspicion: the guy said "you've got my life" to Kravitz last night. I reckon that was about right.
Kravitz's unforgiving mate - a dark horse, but is his sanctimony just a disguise for his own self loathing? Is he in denial that he did it himself?

Edit: Dead girl's father - good call! Seems an angry man but that is to be expected

And the older Murderer in the prison.

My guess is that in the end (as in real life) we will never know for sure. Eddie seems the most likely. Except he does not seem to be typecast right as the murderer.

Poirot.

It says on the review that there is a hefty twist in the tale.

Thats why I chucked "suicide" into the poll.

My new theory: Eddie has already admitted they had sex and had a row. The row came about as she could not handle a physical relationship with him after suffering years of sexual abuse at the hands of her father, and in the depths of despair and self-loathing she killed herself.

oooh that's good. And Eddie was actually protecting the father all these years due to a misplaced sympathy for the man who had lost his daughter.

Alternatively there is Paula's partner. He's not served any useful purpose in this series so far. I mean he wasnt there when she needed protecting and despite having a good snog with her on the kitchen worktop he didnt do the decent thing and see the job to conclusion. Clearly the LUST that Paula and Eddie are now likely to show in tonights episode would not happen if he was doing the manly thing.

For a really nasty twist, Eddie strangles Paula. (And Clint Eastwood is not around to rescue her.)

Don't think she could have killed herself. Wasn't she strangled?

Hither (sometimes Thither)
I think it's Eddie. He's a violent child trapped in a gormless man's slightly saggy body.
Personally, i thought the programme went a bit silly as soon as he said "i didn't do it." at the end of episode one. The dramatics of his release and reintegration into an always-troubled and testy society made for a virulent enough piece. I know Friel has to be tested after her failure to halt murder, but i thought their closeness could have come without conspiracy.

Off to get a bit drunk now, so i'll iplayer it in the morning.
