FFS. Two & a half very good bits, then an utterly crap, schmaltzy ending, designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Right up to the end I was thinking there was no way they would be so clichéd as to have them end up together. I thought perhaps he'd hang himself in his prison cell before getting the good news. But happily ever after? A very weak ending.

I'm sorry but the ending is f***ing ridiculous. Probation Officers do not get involved with offenders in that way. Episodes 1 and 2 were very promising and realistic, but episode 3 was like something from hollywood.

im with you there, first two were good but ending was rushed and a bit amateurish but overall it was ok

I agree. Rotten ending. A good idea ruined by poor research, poor casting, poor acting and in the end by a poor plot. It was actually embarrassing to watch for the last half an hour.
