Collectively, only a few hundred idiots causing damage across all incidents (and a few thousand bystanders videoing). As proportion of entire countries population, they’re not worthy of reporting never mind conclusions

Exactly, two rival groups of idiotic hooligans! Both are embarrassing their communities.
Sorry, but that’s incredibly disingenuous.

Firstly, in a lot of these events (Southport, London, Hartlepool, Sunderland) there’s only been one “team” on the pitch.

Secondly, team two wouldn’t have entered the pitch without the provocation from those first events described in the above paragraph.

Right now I’m watching sport with my son in the back of our house. If there were tons of people outside it threatening to break in I wouldn’t be sat on my arse.

Yeah there are a lots of videos of what looks like Islamic groups shouting their God's name armed walking around looking for EDL types.
Whilst in one case, I’m inclined to agree -however in the majority of this cities from footage I’ve seen it’s almost exclusively the far right, against counter protesters being peaceful.

Both should be reported, but we cannot exactly say it’s 50/50, it’s almost exclusively the right causing the trouble.

Looking for… shouldn’t be too hard to find, they’re the ones burning down police stations and trashing town centres.

I could point you to hundreds of threads where NSCers have rallied around and supported those in need. This is a community where tremendous amounts of empathy are shown towards others.

Then there are the political-related threads which, sadly, largely mirror much of our broader society. A few people trading virtual blows day in and day out, completely ruining discourse, and meaning most people just steer clear of it - they just don't want to get involved.

I'm currently mulling a few different ideas to try and deal with this age-old problem, again, one of which is to bring back "The Bear Pit", but calling it the more appropriate "Kindergarten", or similar, where the worst offenders on the political threads will be able to carry on their same old arguments, and they'll be thread banned from parallel political threads where, hopefully, the adults will be able to debate free of the children.

Out of interest, how many times have you reported toxicity and trolling to enable the moderating team to review and act? (I know the answer to this question, by the way)
Good points.

I recently received a months ban for calling someone a retard who called me a moron and another poster called me Scum, the posts were on the same page I believe . Neither of those posters received a sanction.

Given the standard of one sided moderating can you not see how reporting behaviour can be seen as a futile gesture?. If a moderator can follow a thread and behave in that way there really is little I can do.

If you are looking for some positive changes maybe disable the laughter emoji in political threads?. If you don't know what I'm talking about then audit any political thread.

So much misinformation on X being stirred up.

This stupid account (Queen Natalie)was one of those quoted on here, the other night, now calling the Pavilion a mosque.

I read that as an incomplete 'no more mosquitos'

Pretty sure folk can agree on that one.

Oh dear. Wakey wakey.

As Donald Trump said about the white supremacy riots in Charlottesville:

”There are very fine people on both sides”

And as Biden said in response

"With those words, the president of the United States assigned a moral equivalence between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it,"

I know where I stand on the Great Replacement theory and white supremacy, do you?

there would be a lot fewer emojis if you answered straightforward questions, but you don't; hence all the giggling at the back

I am sickened by what I am seeing on MSM tonight. Win a brons medal in the olimpics and they are happy to wear a flag over there shoulders and no one complains.

One of our top boys doing the same whilst pateroticslly shouting ‘stop the boats’ and lobbing a brick at the OB (because he loves his country Obvs) and he is called a racialist

It’s the double standerds of the media and snowflakes that wind me up. I would be at some of the events takeong are country back tonight but my mum says I have a tickerley cough so need to take some calpol before I go out

Regards

Silly old bat
That mosque quote was years ago.
It was but posted again tonight at 8ish and reposted over 2000 times.
The post I put here was from Stan Colleymore putting her straight. My post now says not found so I suspect has been deleted.

Look. Some non rioting peaceful protesters needed a phone so much so they could call radio phone ins to articulate their issues that they could not wait for opening time.

Old youths would have got in much more quickly.

"Merseyside Police said two officers have been taken to hospital, one with a suspected broken nose and another with a suspected broken jaw, following the disorder in the city centre.

Six people aged between 29 and 58 were arrested on suspicion of offences including violent disorder and criminal damage.

The force added a number of people set off fire extinguishers and threw various items including bricks and bottles at officers.

An officer on a police motorbike was pushed from his bike and assaulted.

A kiosk in Liverpool One and a phone shop on Church Street were damaged, broken into and looted."
